Tanem did a fantastic job building and anchoring this intricate and complicated pergola. They put it together with ease and with a smile. All the team (5+ guys) were super courteous and friendly and banged it out in no time at all. Very pleased with the result and the price was competitive. Will be using them again in the future. Highly recommend.

Much more than I expected of this job the job was a huge job. He cleaned up completely, and after he was through, I was really shocked at how much better it came out.

omy i cannot say enough about this company.. I shopped around big time and this company not only had the best before and after photos but after asking around, this company updated the house of 2 people I know. Me, being extremely frugal still shopped around for a bit and came to the conclusion that they would be my choice and boy oh boy am i happy about the result. The gave life to my apartment.. Great kitchen, great plumbing and heating work and now I will use them for both small and large projects. Even my mom is getting in on the action and she is normally not one to do spend money on updating anything unless she thinks its a fair price. The job was done in no time.. No mess and just fantastic communication all around! :) VERY HAPPY and you will too.

We found Paul and Gene at Tanem construction through Homeadvisor 4 years ago and have had a project with them every year since. From finishing our basement during Covid, adding a full bathroom wet bar and laundry room, to restoring and building our front stoop to adding heated floor and a 2nd floor full bathroom restoration, to even the smallest of jobs in roof repairs and ceiling leaks. Tanem construction does it ALL. A pleasure to work with. A local family run business that will sure to fulfill all your construction needs.

Every year Tanem Construction completes a project on our 100-year-old center colonial home. Weâ ve come up with creative solutions to make the current footprint of our home more useful. Adding walls, removing walls, removing radiators, adding and updating bathrooms, adding storage, a laundry room, and a wet bar with entertainment area when including our basement as part of our living space. On the outside, they did our stoop and fixed flashing on our roof in areas that caused leaks. As a woman with young children, I feel comfortable with them working in my home. Paul, Gene, and the team are pleasant and create a safe working environment!

Relaxing experience overall. Amazed by the attentiveness of the team and certainly will use again! Kept track of all expenses. Each time there was a hiccup,, Paul and team made it right!

From start to finish, Tanem did an amazing job. The project was large enough to take a few months. Communication and planning was on point throughout. Very fair price. Paul is/was always available for discussions and ideas. His team was very professional and also answered all questions that came up. The bottom line is that we feel lucky that we crossed paths with Tanem, felt very taken care of, and the work looks incredible. We plan on doing a lot more remodeling with Paul and his company in the future.

Communication with Paul was easy. He is on the job site and very active in all phases of the project. It was a bigger than expected project, I am happy that I worked with this company.

Stay far away from them. They do patchy work and do not take responsibility for their mess-ups. We paid over $150k and mistakes are starting to show. Regret my decision in hiring them.

Tanem Construction prices are competitive, and their finished product is excellent. I was very pleased with my ceiling installation, that I added on additional projects. Tanem's crews are talented, professional and considerate.

Excellent service and responsive. They kept 4 guys on the job knowing my time off was limited to complete the project. Quality of the work was professional and detailed. Very considerate with keeping everything clean and making sure dust was limited for me, due to having eye surgery at the time. Very happy with the kitchen, floor, molding and painting.

Quick turnaround times for items to be done in apartment. Good quality work all around ! Responsive and very helpful crew!

Be very careful. Make sure you put detailed in writing everything you want done at your house. They say something verbally, then they put down in the contract less things than discussed and what was the price agreed upon. The quality of work is very low, they use subcontractors hiring them from Craigslist or other low skills handyman websites. They seldomly come to the jobsite to see work progress, a lot of confusion among different subs which are not coordinated properly casuing frequent delays and aggravations among the trades. I would not recommend hiring them.

Paul, Gene and their teams were delightful to work with. They're a busy company but managed to be on time, respond to our questions and felt accessible throughout the project. The members of the different crews were polite, professional and always on time. As with any project, there was a small issue that we wanted adjusted, and no problem at all. It was taken care of immediately. They were able to make suggestions without being aggressive and we welcomed their input. I only wish we had additional funding to do a few more projects! I am pleased to recommend this company without hesitation.

I hired Tanem Construction to fix the mistakes and poor quality of a previous contractor as well as to finish the job. They came to my home, reviewed the work needed to be done to fix and finish the job. The price they quoted was better than I expected. We agreed on a couple of changes during construction which made the job even better. Paul and his dad Gene were a pleasure to work with and the carpenters, tapers and painters onsite were top notch. They always arrived by on time, did a solid days worth of work and asked questions if any issues arose. I am planning more work in my home and I will reach out to Tanem Construction to make that happen.

Excellent. Hired initially to fix some crumbling plaster in my closets, ended up doing an entire kitchen project. Very accomodating, communicative, patient and great work.
