We noticed water around our furnace on Monday afternoon. Did a quick search on Angie's List and found Highland Home Heating and Cooling local to our area. Call immediately and they scheduled us for Tuesday morning. Their serviceman, Mike Zehl, showed up promptly the next morning and quickly resolved the problem. While this was an easy fix, I was very impressed with the whole company. Everyone was professional and very friendly. They are now my go to company for any issues with my heating or cooling.

The service went great. They are very professional, and very good. I have had previous experience with them as well, and that is why I decided to go with them. I would recommend them. They showed up when they were supposed to, and they were punctual.

Sean was very informative and explained things as he went along. Also gave great details on the heating/air conditioning systems and offered insight into things I might need to do in the future. Didn't try to sell me on anything I didn't need.
He cleaned my furnace and explained about the duct work and how it affects the performance of the system. Also checked my a/c which hadn't been working well. He adjusted the air flow ( it was closed off in many places, which I was not aware of ), and also had to remove some coolant as it was overfilled, therefore causing the unit to work harder.
He was late but apologized as soon as I opened the door.
Overall, a great job, very knowledgeable.

Mike was courteous and expained what he was doing as he was working and answered all of my questions. Mike kept all of his work areas tidy and left no mess behind. I was impressed enough by Mike's work that I also signed up for a years service contract. Something worth checking into if you do business with these folks. I would recommend this company.

The service was excellent. The person answering the phone was great and we were able to get a very convenient early AM appointment (so no need to be late for work). The repairman arrived on time. He cleaned our furnace, noted several parts that may need to be replaced in the near future, and looked at our humidifier that was not working. This was the best experience I've ever had with a heating/plumbing contractor.

I called the company and an appointment was set up within a couple of days with Mike Waterhouse. He spent about an hour with me answering my questions and giving me his opinions. He emailed me withing a day or so with a quote. I was obtaining a quote from one additional person so told Mr. Waterhouse I would contact him later. Mr. Waterhouse called me on the telephone within a few days. (Of the three companies from whom I received quotes, this was the only one to call me back.) The quote I was given by Highland and Company was the middle one in price. However, I feel that they were doing more updating of my present piping than the lower priced company. An appointment was set for the installation and Mr. Waterhouse accompanied the installer. The installer was very friendly and polite and kept right to his work. The installation took three and one-half days. About three weeks after the installation, I noticed that the boiler was making loud sounds when firing up. I called on a Saturday and asked the serviceman on call if he thought that this problem could wait until Monday. He said that he felt that it should be looked at immediately - and that it was still under warranty. The problem did not occur while the serviceman was here. There was a meeting at the company on Tuesday as to what the problem might be and a serviceman was here Wednesday morning. He stated that he would be here until the problem was fixed. He has fixed the noise problem, which had to do with a plugged nozzle. He also fixed another problem relating to the heating of the water in the system.

They came right when they said they would and did a fantastic job installing the unit without messing or damaging anything. They took out the old furnace and got rid of it for me. The price was not expensive but not the lowest either. The furnace works well and everything went fine. I have no complaints at all about the company and it was a straight forward job.
