After eight months, we are still waiting to receive the balance of our deposit back. After 3 months of waiting for the job to be started, we fired this roofer. Apparently, he did not know contracting laws of New York very well, as he violated at least three. The County Attorney may prosecute this guy. We will need to take legal action ourselves to recover our money.

I initially contacted Ipek Roofing last fall and was given a price of $4200. I was advised that they would not be able to do it until spring, and they wanted a $1000 to hold the price. When I called them this year they wanted $4900 for the same job. I contacted Dan DiGenova of DSD Enterprises and we agreed on a price of $4500 for 21 square with several extras. Included in the price was 6 feet of ice and snow barrier, 2 inch white drip edge and new flashing around the chimney and over the sun room. When a date was agreed upon, Dan and his crew showed up on time and completed the entire job in one day. Everything that had been previously discussed was completed to my satisfaction. After a thorough inspection, which included walking the roof with the contractor I would rate the overall job as excellent.
