Old Hp Waterproofing

To be fair it seemed that Mr. Hardy believed that he was doing the correct work for a fair cost. He promised everything we talked about. I foolishly didn't have a contract & only a hand written receipt of payment in cash. The pointing looked good and I was happy with it until recently, when I found out from a "real" professional that the pointing was done wrong, it was even with bricks and should have been recessed. Also Mr. Hardy did not cap the chimney as discussed. Secondly, I wanted to have the driveway cemented, but Mr. Hardy insisted that I needed the roof to be done first, although I had no leaks, and none that I notice since he did the roof over. It is in question if I needed the roof done then at that time. Thirdly the most costly of the jobs, the cementing of my driveway, which was supposed to have waterproofing in the garage, but it does not, it has been pointed out by a few other professionals that it's pitch is toward my house and the inside of the garage is how it was before it was done, when it was promised to be raised. When there are torrential rains periodically, thus there is flooding into my garage, I then get seepage into my basement. I now have to either redo the job or find another way to correct it the best it can be done. When i contacted Mr. Hardy, he didn't stand by his lifetime guarantee and had no interest in addressing his company's poor work. My mistake of not getting a contract has nothing to do with Mr. Hardy's unfulfilled promises and poor lasting work. DO NOT USE HIM or others that do work that appears to look good, but does not hold up or do what is expected. Please note that pointing & roofing were done before cementing, approximates dates, but work is still wrong,just found out recently, causing me unnecessary costs again. .
