The staff and owner at Swan Cycles are very friendly, courteous and proficient. The owner advised me against buying a less efficient and more expensive chain cleaner mechanism. He advised rather to use a nylon hose and a bottle of cleaning lubricant - and when i ran out of the cleaning lubricant, to bring the bottle back and he would refill it from his shop stock, therefore saving me the extra cost of buying another retail bottle of the cleaner. Glenn Swan, the owner, is a bicycle racer and builder. He has limited walk-in hours, mostly after work in the evenings, but one does not need to call ahead or make an appointment. One can always obtain information on hours, either from a recording or a live person, by calling the shop's phone number. One word of advice: obtain specific directions to the shop and/or map it out on google or some other digital format before attempting to travel to the shop. His shop is at the side of his house, out in the country on a hill. He has a mail box, with his house number on it, alongside Mount Pleasant Road, which is approx. half-a-mile up a gravel road through the hedge row forest from his house. There are no commercial signs or any other indications along the main road, other than his house number on the mail box, that this is the location for which you are looking! This also says something quite positive, to me, about the competency of his shop when he doesn't bother to advertise in this manner. His address is aslo the gathering place for bicycle racers and enthusiasts in the local area.
