MORANIA OIL OF LONG ISLAND

I had used them for many years but the service man who was to repair my oil burner did not come out so their repair service was unsatisfactory. I had another company come out to fix it. I also stopped buying home heating oil because their price per gallon got too high.

Morania heavily advertises their services in local publications. From my first inquiring phone call, everyone I have had contacted at Morania was knowledgeable, friendly, professional and extremely helpful. Morania exhibits a level of customer service that I would simply call unequaled. Morania's General Manager, John Palmeri was late for the 6pm estimate appointment. The fact that I received a phone call at 5:30pm from Morania's office informing me that John was running late was the most impressive demonstration of excellence in customer service that I have seen in many years. John's presentation could not have been more professional. His survey of my heating system and related replacement issues demonstrated a knowledge of craft that I found lacking with his competitors. The installation crew appeared on time as scheduled at 8:00am and immediately went to work. After they were finished dismanteling the old, rather filthy heating system, there was not a speck of soot, dirt or dust to be found anywhere. In removing the old, extremely heavy boiler, they even put down plywood to avoid damaging my lawn. The installation of the new system was not without the technical challenges inherent in updating a 40 year old heating plant. Each problem had been anticipated and was resolved. I can only say that Morania's installation crew worked like dogs to finish this job which was not completed until almost 6:30 pm. The crew left only after they were satisified that the system was operating perfectly. The result was an installation of the highest professional quality and the installation crew left the work area cleaner (I hate to admit) than they found it. Overall, Morania has exceeded my expectations at every encounter and I could not be more pleased with the new heating system. I strongly recommend that any homeowner currently using oil heat to think long and hard before converting to natural gas. My research into the issue indicated that, the much promoted cost savings put forth by National Grid, are nothing more than marketing hype. My initial inquiries to National Grid regarding the switch to gas heat were met with the same miserable, uncaring attitude that we have come to expect and unfortunately accept from National Grid and it's predecessor Keyspan. I use natural gas for cooking and making hot water and my gas bill more than doubled over the past year. The OPEC "conspiracy" is nowhere to be found in this equation, as natural gas is produced here in the United States. The only reason I can see for this increase is sheer corporate greed on the part of National Grid and their suppliers. With a company like Morania available to support oil heating systems, I believe that any homeowner that entrusts his family's comfort and financial security to National Grid should have their head examined.

Just to show how unscrupulous they are - I locked in my oil price at $3.26/gallon and they have only been giving me half a tank. I have been asking for them to fill it up because my locked in rate expires in July and I feel they are trying to give me as little as possible. They finally did fill it up after several requests. The people are very nice and have not been disrespectful in any way and they seem to be trying to help.

Morania Oil of Long Island has been very reliable and I have no complaints with them. You have to negotiate your price with them every 6 months, but they are flexible with this. The price is different every time you negotiate so I can't state a definite price. They are fine. They have always come when I've needed repairs. Their service is good.

If we didn't have to deal with their salesman, John Palmeri, I would give an "A" rating. Mr. Palmeri is a very pushy salesman who doesn't listen to the customer. However, their deliveryman and installation crew are fantastic, as are their servicemen.

I BELIEVE THIS COMPANY DID A GOOD JOB OF KEEPING THE SOOT OFF MY CARPET BY PLACING A DROP CLOTH DOWN AT THE BOTTOM OF THE CHIMNEY. I FEEL MUCH SAFER KNOWING MY CHIMNEY WILL NOT CATCH FIRE.

I HAVE NOT HAD ANY HASSLES OR PROBLEMS WITH MORANIA OIL'S SERVICE PEOPLE OR THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK. I HAVE NOT HAD TO WORRY ABOUT HAVING ENOUGH HEAT DURING A COLD WINTER BECAUSE OF THEIR THOROUGHNESS.

THIS IS A GOOD ENOUGH COMPANY. THEY DON'T MAKE A MESS WHEN THEIR FILLING THE BURNER WITH OIL. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND EASY TO DO BUSINESS WITH. I AM SATISFIED WITH THEIR SERVICES.

USE THIS COMPANY FOR ALL DIFFERENT KIND OF SERVICES THAT I NEED. I LIKE THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE CLOSE TO MY HOME. THEY REPAIR WHAT THEY HAVE TO REPAIR AND THEN THEY LEAVE.

WE HAVE BEEN WITH THIS COMPANY FOR MANY OF YEARS. I AM NOT TOO HAPPY WITH THE FLUCTUATION OF THE PRICES. BUT MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH THEM HAS BEEN GREAT.

THEY ARE A PROFESSIONAL COMPANY AND THE SERVICE IS DONE ON TIME AND THE SERVICEMEN ARE COURTEOUS AND POLITE. I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THE SERVICES THEY HAVE PROVIDED.

I LIKED THEM BECAUSE THEY WERE REASONABLY PRICED AND THE WORKERS THAT CAME OUT WERE VERY POLITE AND COURTEOUS. THE APPOINTMENT WAS EASY TO SCHEDULE AND THEY GOT THE JOB DONE.

I HAVE USED THE SERVICE FOR A LONG TIME AND THE QUALITY OF SERVICE IS VERY GOOD. THE WORKERS ARE COURTEOUS AND POLITE. I HAVE BEEN VERY HAPPY WITH THIS SERVICE.

I HAVE USED MORANIA OIL FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW. THEY HAVE GREAT WORKERS THAT ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY DO GOOD QUALITY WORK AND ARE VERY RELIABLE AND PUNCTUAL.

MORANIA OIL DOES A VERY GOOD JOB. THEY ARE VERY RESPONSIVE AND ATTENTIVE TO YOUR NEEDS. THEY ARE ALWAYS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND PLEASANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH.

I WAS UPSET WITH MORANIA OIL BECAUSE THEY DID NOT PUT DOWN A DROP CLOTH BEFORE THEY STARTED WORKING AND THEY GOT CRAP ALL OVER MY NEW CARPET. THEY JUST DID NOT SEEM TO CARE.

THIS COMPANY KEEPS THE BOILER CLEAN AND RUNNING EFFICIENTLY. I ALWAYS HAVE OIL AND WHEN I HAD A SPILL, IT WAS CLEANED UP QUITE WELL. WHEN AN APPOINTMENT IS MADE, THEY ARE ON TIME.

MORANIA OIL IS VERY RESPONSIVE TO THEIR CUSTOMERS NEEDS. THEIR TECHNICIANS ARE ALWAYS ON TIME AND THEY ALWAYS DO THEIR JOB RIGHT. THEY ARE ALWAYS THERE WHEN I NEED THEM.

IT WAS TERRIBLE. THEY WEREN'T FRIENDLY AND DIDN'T RESPOND QUICKLY. THEY WERE RUDE AND EXPENSIVE. OVERALL, IT WAS A BAD EXPERIENCE. EXCEPT FOR THE TECHNICIAN HIMSELF, BUT HE LEFT THE HOUSE DIRTY.
