Furniture - Custom Made
If you are thinking about this company, I would suggest DON'T!!!
I personally feel that the "owner" is unscrupulous! He took $55,000 of my money and refused to do more work
until I got Suffolk County Comsumers Affairs involved. He disregaured
letters from a lawyer prior to that. Initially, he did not do the work
he was contracted for and he didn't even do it when he signed a
contract with Comsumers Affairs. Because he had so much of my money and
signed with Consumers Affairs, I thought he would actually come through
with the work. He didn't! When we first signed contract he signed
stating that he was licensed. I found out over a year later he wasn't!
However, because I went through Comsumers Affairs, he did eventually get
his license. That didn't matter! He still didn't do the contracted work
even after knowing that he was going to a hearing after eight months. As per the
Comsumer Affairs contract, he was supposed to be done in approximately
three months but I was being patient hoping he would do the work and I
would have my kitchen, livingroom and diningroom back in living
condition. Before the hearing, he tried to get more money out of me,
even with Consumers Affairs involved! Even after the hearing, he
immediately called with excuses, like every other time. He said the rest
of the cabinets were done but he had run out of money. I wonder what
happened to the $55,000 that I had given him. He claimed all the money
went into the work he did do. He attempted to negotiate a deal stating
if this continued that he should probably just go back to his country.
In my opinion, I was scammed!! He attempted to give massive excuses to Consumers
Affairs also. Additionally, Comsumers said he had a case pending in
Nassau County. At the point of me writing this, according to Consumers
Affairs his license was revoked as of December 27,2013 and he was
fined. I hope after reading this you are a better informed consumer
because he did not do the job he was paid to do and trying to find
another contractor to pick up where he left off has not been easy. But, I guess he was counting on
that. Good luck and be smarter then I was. By the way, we initially
signed contract July of 2011 and contract with Consumers Affairs in
March of 2013. So, it's not like he wasn't given every opportunity to
do the job! At this point we plan on going to litigation and
Consumers Affairs has volunteered agreed to
testify against him. If you would like to contact me I would welcome it
and I would be glad to make sure he does not do the same to others.
