SJM Tile & Masonry is a family-owned business and has been proudly serving residents throughout Nassau, Suffolk for 23 years. As Long Island’s premiere tile and masonry contractor, we offer a full range of services from interior and exterior new construction and design work to restorations and repairs. With our commitment to excellence, attention to detail and great professionalism, we complete small or big projects on time, within an established budget, bringing to our customers great quality at reasonable rates. In fact, the majority of our work comes from referrals from our many satisfied customers! We offer all aspects of interior and exterior tile as well as all masonry work including complete or partial renovations. We also offer free inspections of your existing masonry work and will check for possible need of maintenance or repair, repair or sealing which will save you from having potential problems down the road. The owner and the crew were extremely professional. They arrived promptly on time everyday in the morning and work until evening with only a short lunch break. The owner Shawn replied to all my questions, even late in the evenings. Furthermore, he provided a lot of good suggestions which I never thought of. The end result is a great curb appeal with a stunning walkway, a beautiful driveway, and an interestingly gorgeous patio. I’m very happy with result and highly recommend JSM Tile & Masonry.

SJM Tile & Masonary did an absolutely amazing job transforming our bathroom into a handicapped accessible curbless walk-in shower. Time was of the essence to get this job done because my mom was moving into our home and it was extremely difficult for her to get in and out of a tub with her advanced age. Shawn (owner) understood our dilemma and rearranged his schedule to accommodate our needs in the short time frame that we had. He is a true artist and has a great eye for bringing everything together. He gives outstanding attention to detail. Our job was completed in the time frame he stated it would be before starting the job. I am so glad that our bathroom is not only functional to help keep Mom safe, but it's also modern, giving us a spa like feel. We love, love, love our new bathroom. We highly recommend using SJM for your next job.

Dana and Shawn were excellent to work with. I gave straight A's because they were AWESOME. Their responses were timely and professional. Shawn was on site every day and they showed up like clockwork daily at 7:30a.m. My pavers and stoop are outstanding. The work is neatly done and the workers cleaned the area perfectly. These guys worked all day long and took pride in their work which is a rare quality these days and a sign that Shawn takes care of his employees. I'm going to definitely use them again!!

I am extremely happy with the way my stoop came out. It certainly exceeded my expectations...it is perfect!!!! Shawn no doubt is an artist and my stoop was his canvas. He is such a pleasant person and so easy going. Shawn and his crew worked very hard to get the job done in a very timely manner. The crew were also very friendly and respectful.

The project was very smooth and the guys were very professional throughout the process. The job took about 5 days. Shawn and Dana were very responsive throughout the process and even worked with me as we made some changes during the project. The quality of the work was top notch and we were overall very please with the results.

Shawn and his 2 men showed up bright and early every day and worked through the day to complete the job. They had to first demo and remove the old porches (lots of concrete that had to be removed) and also had to deal with large tree roots that were lifting up existing walkways. The new pavers look fantastic and improves the look of our house 100%! They were all a pleasure to deal with and I had complete faith that Shawn would complete the job quickly, efficiently and perfectly. Highly recommend!

Shawn came and gave us an estimate, and was able to start work the following week. The old porches were not easy to remove--lots of cement that had to be removed, and tree roots that were pushing up our walkways also had to be dealt with.
He and his 2 workers showed up bright and early each morning, ready to put in a full days work. The work was completed within a week, and we could not be happier with the appearance of our "new" home, and with the reliability, workmanship and overall experience that we had with SJM Tile and Masonry. Wholeheartedly recommend!!

Shawn came as promised to give me a free estimate on replacing my front stoop as the steps were breaking away. His price was in line with other estimates I had received. The work was started sooner than expected because of a delay in another job he was doing, which caused a little last minute scrambling on my part. But his wife Dana could not have been more understanding and helpful. She and I exchanged texts late into the evening and over the weekend to prepare for the upcoming work. The job was finished in 2 days, as expected. The workers were polite and efficient and everything was cleaned up to my satisfaction. I was very pleased with the work that they did and recommend SJM Tile and Masonry highly.

through a referral. I called and received contact back within hours while the other contractors I reached out to struggled to get back to me at all.
SJM Tile recently installed porcelain tile in my kitchen, bathroom and two entry ways. My wife and I are thrilled with the outcome. Their attention to detail was top-notch.They even installed some floor molding for me halfway through the job, which was not initially discussed or agreed upon. I highly recommend SJM Tile for their craftsmanship and professionalism. From Shawn to Faith to Phillip to Dana to Jose and the rest of Shawn?s crew, the entire team did a fantastic job in all facets of our home renovation.

For too many years we had just a tiny old bathroom in our large bedroom so we decided it was finally time to convert to a good-sized master bathroom with plenty of room for 6' jacuzzi and a separate shower. Shawn worked closely with our own electrician and plumber to do this complete renovation. The tile work is absolutely beautiful - Shawn has a great eye for design and we were happy he gave us his input on the tile and design of the space. He even chose a beautiful mosaic which is above our tub a nice focal point for the bathroom.
It's hard to say where we like spending more time after this investment but we're completely satisfied with the work SJM did along with his courteous crew. We highly recommend Shawn, it is always a pleasure working with him.

In the past we had issues with our stucco retaining wall over the years, Shawn and his crew did a beautiful job installing new stack stone over our existing stucco walls along with columns for outdoor lighting which has dramatically changed the look of our house and added a lot of curb appeal. Once again, SJM Tile and Masonry was extremely professional, always on time, if there was a rain date, their office manager would call to let me know. The communication of the entire team from beginning to end was top-notch.
