FRANKLIN FURNITURE CO

We had been wanting to restore a china closet that was my grandmother?s circa 1927.
A very dear friend had used the services of Franklin Furniture II L.L.C. some 15 years ago.
Well, when we met Louis Chirco of Franklin Furniture II L.L.C., on October 8th, we knew we had the right furniture fella. 
He said that the piece was walnut, the top was solid birch and the glass was hand blown.  The china closet was
picked up on October 8th and returned to us on November 13th, looking phenomenal.  When Louis picked up
and brought the piece back it was handled with the utmost of care.  We did go down to the shop a few times, to
see the progress, discuss the color we wanted to see and finally to decide on the final laquer finish. 
We made the right choice with Franklin Furniture and we would not hesitate to use them again and recommend using their services. 
Louis and his staff are true masters in their art.
We had been nervous about letting this piece leave our home for refinishing, but Louis was very helpful and patient with us during this
experience. 
 

My dining room table had a smooth, glass-like finish. He said he could refinish and restore it. It was returned to me about a week later and the scratches were removed, however the finish was now a dull matte finish. It changed the whole look of the table. What was once a deep, rich looking finish was now a dull, lifeless one. When I complained, he argued that the finish was exactly the same as before. When I assured him that I know what my table looked like, and that the breakfront no longer matched, he said he was not going to finish the table again. I asked him to do something; perhaps add something to restore the shine. He said he would check with his distributor and get back to me. He never did. When my husband called, he told him he couldn't do anything for him. I am so upset that he ruined my beautiful dining room table, not to mention charging $706. This is a Drexel-Heritage set and it was very expensive. Maybe he does good work on old beat-up antiques, but on fine furniture he did a terrible job.

It went very well. Came on time to give free estimate. Took table the next day and brought it back two days later. Friendly and professional. Have no idea whether the price was good or not. Seemed fair.

The owner of Franklin Furniture was very easy to deal with. He told us what kind of result I could expect to see from the table refurbishment. He also suggested that I come down and view the table after it was stripped, so I could decide what type of finish I wanted. When I viewed the table, he made a few extremely helpful suggestions. The finished product looks beautiful. He managed to hide the damage far better than I could have hoped. His price was fair, and the project was completed in the time frame we agreed on.

They came to my home right away and took the furniture. The work was done ahead of schedule. The table and chairs have been restored beautifully.
