Here is a list of some of the things that went wrong. 1. The basement was suppose to have a 9' ceiling. It only has an 8' ceiling. 2. The garage was supposed to be 36' wide. It is only 32'. 3. The walls are not level. There is a 3/8" slant in 8'. 4. The bull nose at the top of the stairs was installed incorrectly. 5. The house was said to be completed in 8 weeks after the house was set on the foundation. It was turned over to me 13 weeks after the house was set. 6. The house rubbed up against a telephone pole while being brought onto the property. 7. Greg was training for an iron man competition during the construct of my home. This I believe was the reason for the basement wall height and garage width problems. His visits to the job site were minimal, less than every 2 weeks, during this time frame. Even several sub contractors mentioned the same concern. 8. The house was supposed to be built with a chimney. I got a chimney chase. I had to pay for the pipe and associated materials. Greg did assist in installing the piping. 9. The dormer headers were installed incorrectly. 10. The ceiling of the dormers are a different height then the room they are in. 11. We paid $7500 for what was supposed to be a finished door. It came with a primmer finish. Greg credited us $500 to have someone come and stain it for us. 12. 2 roof joists were missing. 13. The house with property cost us ~$360,000. It is appraised at $315,000. We obviously overpaid for this house. Greg was unwilling to tell us home much the house cost from the manufacturer. There were many other small problems with this house. I highly recommend not using MH Imperial Homes to build your house. My opinion: Greg only cares about himself and getting paid. Not once did he apologize for the mistakes made on this house.
