My Story
I became infatuated with solar starting in 2007, and began extensive sub-contracting work for both residential projects and large scale commercial.
After closing a successful logistics company, I plunged head first into the world of solar. After approximately 75 installation on Long Island and countless hours of caring 45 pound panels up 28' ladders in 95 degree heat and 10 degree cold, I shifted into solar work in the city, primarily commercial and flat roof residential.
In 2012, I incorporated Wildcat and entered the industry initially as a subcontractor handling small to medium commercial work. In 2013, we began taking on our own projects and have been going strong ever since.

Provides comprehensive site assessment, system design and installation of both residential and commercial solar systems.
Even with a 3 week delay caused by the city review system, followed by a severe cold spell, the construction was started and the work was completed quickly. The Wildcat Solar LLC team that I was in contact with consisted of: Thurston Cecil - the most solar knowledgeable man I know. For example, I showed him the proposals I received from other installers and he found an error in each of them. He is dedicated, intelligent, hard working and a very nice man. Did I say dedicated? While waiting for the approval of the plans, he had a hip replacement, yet was back on the job one week later. Stellios - he knows the installation inside out and is involved in every aspect of the install. Chris - a very hard worker. He sticks with the job for as long as it takes - yet always with smile. Shiraq - aka Sheetrock - who spent days out of sight - up on my roof. I only saw him at quitting time and at lunch - snarfing down a sandwich. These four men did a remarkable job. They completed the job on time, even with the delay caused by the city review snafu. They cleaned up my yard and carted off every bit of refuse they created. I would like to thank Wildcat Solar LLC. My panels work perfectly and every day the sun shines my wallet gets fatter. Perhaps you are wondering why I decided to go solar now. Besides being frugal and environmentally responsible (I harvest rain water, have 2 composters and recycle religiously), I also can see the future. With the closing of Indian Point Power Plant next year, I see the price of electricity going up quickly. Now is the best time to go solar. BTW, last week we hit 1 Megawatt of power created by my panels!! I've only had the panels for 2 1/2 months and it's still winter!! For these reasons I would like to thank WIldcat Solar LLC, and I will continue thanking them for the next 20 years.
Description of Work: I had Wildcat Solar LLC install a solar panel array, including 20 panels, an inverter, a shutoff switch and all the necessary components needed.
