Very bad experience.
Movers showed up over 4 hours late and with a smaller truck. I had clearly explained the layout of my apartment to Andre and included my basement storage and also asked for a quick stop on the way to another location where I had more items. Andre said no problem.
The movers themselves gave me a very hard time to clean out the basement. I had to call a friend of mine and clean the items out with him and bring them to the truck so the movers could lift them in. As for the stop along the way? After a conversation with Andre it worked out and we got a majority of the items, however the movers really put up a good fight and with the smaller truck, not everything fit.
Considering the whole ordeal, I barely received an apology, and to top it all off, the price went over estimate. There was no mention of a discount or something like that, and not even an offer to come back the next day or another day to pick up all the items at my apartment and the basement and the other location that did not fit on the (smaller) truck.
All in all, the whole ordeal was very unprofessional and stressful. Moving is stressful enough but the professionals you hire to help should be making this easier, not more difficult.
