I'm never going to use them again because they scammed me out of a lot of money. I use them all the time and I've never had any problem but this one time, I feel like they overcharged me. They fixed the heater, but they scammed me. They did a good job and they respond quickly. I would say they were fairly punctual. They have different men that work for them, I didn't get to talk to the owners. I would not use them in the future.

They provide very good workmanship and are very responsive. They have known me for so long, and I just call them and they come right out and send me a bill later. Everything is done by phone and is convenient.

As always, Maher is the best and most professional plumbing company. In fact, they are the only plumbing company we will ever use. We have used them for many, many year, from small jobs, to major jobs. The prices can be a bit on the high side, but as they say and quot;you get what you pay forand quot;, and with Maher, you get the best. I have recommended them to many friends and neighbors who are equally satisfied.

It went so well, that I gave a $50 tip to each of three guy's at the end of the job. Fantastic work; I literally cannot talk these guys up enough. They kept me up to date the entire time, and they thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. Before installing my new gas boiler and hot water heater they dismantled my old cast iron oil burner and 275 gallon oil tank, and then removed both from the premises. Next, they upgraded the meter bar on the existing gas meter in order to run a gas line from the meter to the new gas fired cast iron steam boiler and hot water heater. Another thing I greatly appreciated was the timeliness they displayed every day on the job site.

The thing that impressed me the most: the same day I signed the contract and gave a deposit, Michael (the supervisor) submitted the paper-work to Con-Edison, and sent me an e-mail copy of what was submitted. Michael continued to submit all paper-work as the job progressed, each time sending me an e-mail of what was submitted. This is the first company that I have used to accommodate me in such a way. The heat and hot water work perfectly.

The price was fair, I had 4 estimates from different companies before signing the contract with Maher Plumbing and Heating.

I would not recommend them to anybody. I needed a shower body put in, all i needed was about 4-6 tiles taken down and a shower body fixed in. He wanted to take the whole wall down for 900 dollars. He didnt even look at the job and charged me 900 dollars. So i got rid of him. I got my plumber in, he took out 4 tiles.

He vacuumed the filter and insie the furnace and checked the controls. He also checked the doorway leading to the chiimney.

I found that the service was good and that the problem was fixed. I was very happy with having Angies list to go by. This is only the second time I have used Angies list and both times I was happy with the results.

1. Heater did not work after servicing. Technician did not test the heating system before leaving the house. Called Maher twice to complain. Calls were never returned. Had to wait 2 days in the cold so another plumbing company could come in and look at it. They said something was set too low on the boiler and after adjusting the setting, the heating system started working.
2. Snaked the drain in the tub, but a few weeks after the work, drain was slow again.
3. Asked plumber to fix or replace the stopper in the bathtub. He said it had to be special-ordered. He put in a and quot;dummyand quot; just to hold the position. Said he would come back to replace and never did.
4. Commented that the dryer vent setup needed to be corrected. I asked him for a quote. He said someone would call me; no one ever did.

After a couple of phone calls somebody eventually called me back. He told me to call him back once the walls were exposed which I did several times but the calls went unreturned.

Great work. He was polite did the work great and very friendly.

Michael Maher was especially patient and polite in answering all my questions before I committed to the project. I am sure I asked more questions than the average customer. They use quality parts at a very fair price. I was originally told the job would take 2 days and they completed it in 1 day. They came when they said they would. They cleaned up well after the job. What else could one ask for.

Called back promptly and arrived exactly on time. I was able to get service within 2-3 hours of calling.

Excellent service, professional and courteous, and reasonably priced. Plus, they accept credit card, which is nice to have as an option.

My overall experience with Maher Plumbing was excellent!

From my initial call to Maher and Son and going forward, everyone I dealt with was courteous and professional. Mike the Supervisor throughly went over the job and performed followup throughout the project. The price quoted was fair for the work done and the price quoted was the price paid. I had one team perform the work from start to finish.

The initial plumbing set up - water lines, waste and venting was performed exceptionally well - Ozzy the plumber who performed the work, spent several days to do this. As my home is older, there are always unforeseen items which arise. Any situation encountered was discussed by either Mike or Ozzy -great job!! Ozzy was punctual, professional and very skilled.

Mike and team were also flexible when dealing with my issues during the remodel. For instance, I had to wait for the counter top people to install the counters before I could have the fixtures installed. Mike understood and was able to work with my scheduling and come in to install the fixtures the day after the counters were installed. Which is a big deal when you have been without a kitchen for several weeks!!

There is an old rule of business that when a job is done well, the customer will tell three people and when a job is done poorly, the customer will tell ten people. I hope more than ten people read this and have the same great experience with Maher and Son as I did!!!

What bugged me was that he had to leave to get a part and I was charged for the half hour or so going back to the shop. I asked him about this and he said it was company policy. I was told the toilet needs to be replaced, but I don't think I will use this company to do it because I feel I was overcharged based on the time he spent getting a part.

They make sure that everything is in functioning order for the winter. They are reliable and do not try to push things that I do not need; they do not do anything that they do not have to do. When they give me a time, they are on time; if they tell me 10 o’clock, they are here 5 or 10 minutes either way. Their prices are fair. I have not used anybody else, so I do not know what anybody else might charge. I would continue to use them in the future.

They were excellent. They came on time. They communicated very well. They were all very professional. It went very well.
