Description of Work: Home Depot did my roofing and they a did bathroom install of the shell a new backup surrounding for me.

custom cabinets
 + -1 moreIt was the most horrible experience being looked down upon by a 'so-called' kitchen design expert. It is continuously frustrating to walk into homedepot, which is a huge store, and know that you are on your own.
Description of Work: This homedepot had the most unhelpful and slowest customer service i have ever experienced. The people there have no experience in the field they were supposed to be experts in. We started our search for cabinets at home depot assuming they would have the best price.. which they did not. The cabinet specialist whom we worked with, Yemi, was not helpful to us at all. It was our first experience in looking for cabinets and countertops so we were not familiar with all the terminology, and he seemed shocked and annoyed that we didnt know what an undermount sink was! It would have been simple enough for him to bring out the catalog and show us a picture, but he just brushed passed it and was very rude to us beginners and never explained anything. I had to find a homedepot catalog that was laying around somewhere to learn what he was talking about quickly to continue the estimate, I was expecting a bit of a walk through or at least be given the catalog. We were shocked at the estimate he gave us, he did not understand what kind of cabinets we wanted or try to work within our budget. We tried to explain to him our needs, but he did not listen. Aside from attempting to get our cabinets from there, we made a special order from the lighting department. There was no one there to assist us, and we asked another worker for help, he spent 30 minutes looking for the lighting associate, and returned only to tell us that the lighting guy was on a lunch break. We somehow managed to find a, at least 2,000 page, catalog on specialty lighting. I found somethings i wanted, and approached the special order desk. It took the woman MORE than ONE HOUR to type in my 3 special orders. I wish that i could have just typed it in myself, it would have been much faster. I have no idea why, but after those experiences, i still went back attempting to order cabinet accessories such as roll out shelving. The associate there (this time Rahim) was a little more helpful than Yemi was. He did explain to us what we needed to know about roll out shelves, however when i provided him with the measure ments i needed, he was unable to navigate the wholesaler website to order what i needed. NOR was he able to simply look through the catalog to order them from elsewhere.

 + -1 moreThey are very helpful at this Home Depot. I never feel uncomfortable asking questions whether it is about how to complete a project or where to find rubber gloves that fit women. This store is clean, well-organized and for the most part not too busy. We go there for all our home needs. We have had problems with other home goods stores in our area, but never here. If they don't have something you are looking for they will usually check to see if another Home Depot has it in stock for you.
Description of Work: We are paint stripping all the wood work in our house and staining it and polyurethaning it. We are doing it ourselves, but needed supplies and guidance from Home Depot.

 + -1 moreTHE ONLY THING I WAS UPSET ABOUT IS IT TOOK THEM TO LONG TO GET THE DOOR TO FIT RIGHT. WHEN THEY FINALLY GOT IT RIGHT I WAS SATISFIED WITH THE FINISHED PRODUCT. I HAVE RECOMMENDED THIS COMPANY TO MANY OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS.
