We listed our home with Folan in February 2011. Ann Marie was extremely professional and walked us thru the contract at the end she mentioned that if we are going to use there agency for buying a house she will work on the comission she was going to charge us. The first couple of weeks she was on top of things with the open houses and showing us the other properties and then everything went down the hill. She was barely able to keep up with her appointments it became extremely difficult to communicate with her. Forget about the phone calls but receiving one email was a challenge. As we were struggling on the asking price both her and her mother put pressure to reduce the price and asked us to get an independent appraisal for which they promised to reimburse at closing. (I have an email confirming that). They never reimbursed me for the cost despite a notice from the lawyer nor they gave us a break on the comission. In fact when I called to ask before closing on our home if they are going to honor what they said on comission and reimbursement of the appraisal cost I was shocked to hear that Ann Marie would refuse to even acknowledge my emails or phone calls at first the mother was going to look into it then the excuse was only Ann Marie can do it since she made us sign the contract. The closing was schedule at the end of August and all these was happening two weeks prior to closing. We requested that if there is any way to get in touch with Ann Marie we still have two weeks and the answer was ABSOLUTELY NOT. Mother said the commission is what it is and we are not going to honor what Ann Marie said. We were extremely disappointed there was absolutely no correspondence after we closed on our house and bought the house from them. We have sent a notice from our lawyer it has been more than a month but still there is no response. I would strongly recommend people get every piece of information in writing and good luck with keeping the communication channels open.

They are a great group to have sell your home. They were very professional. Wonderful negotiators! They go the extra mile for their clients. I highly recommend them! You couldn?t ask for better people to work with! My deal was in no way easy and Folan Associates were very professional.
