SHOES & MORE REPAIR SHOP

Overpriced, poor workmanship & very rude owner. My husband brought in his shoes to be repaired. I went back a week later to pick them up for him. It looked like they did nothing to the shoes. I asked the man who I knew from the jewelry store next door if he knew what services my husband requested. I guess he was annoyed that I was asking questions. He kept telling me that I had an attitude & to calm down. I assured him that I was calm & he needed to calm himself. Not fully knowing his actual connection to the shoe repair place, I asked to please speak to the owner. He left the room & had the man who did the actual work on my husband's shoes come & speak to me. Guessing that this was the employee of the man I was talking to, he verified that all my husband wanted was the shoe soles glued. I told him ok & left & I would confirm with my husband later. I immediately called my husband. He confirmed that he just wanted the soles of his shoes glued because this guy wanted to charge him $65.00 for new soles, a complete rip off. When I got home, I googled, Shoes & More. I called the number. I asked to speak to the owner. The man who answered never identified himself as the owner, claimed the owner wasn't there. He told me to call back @ 6:00. I asked him why I would do that because I knew the store closed at 6. I guess he realized that he couldn't get around this, he asked me what I wanted? I explained to him that I was the woman he had the encounter with earlier & I wanted to complain to the owner about his rude behavior. I asked him again if he was the owner? He then did something completely childish. Instead of admitting that he was in fact the owner of both the jewelry store & the shoe repair place, he started to press the dials of his phone & then hung up on me. I was a quite taken aback by all this because I was a repeat customer of the jewelry store. I guess the owner didn't remember me. Avoid both the jewelry store & shoe repair store at all cost. If this review saves 1 person the aggravation I just went through, then it was worth the time I took to type it.I read some other reviews on Google & Yelp. I discovered other very unhappy former customers. I wish my husband had checked the past reviews of this place. Maybe this whole situation could have been avoided. Live & learn. .
