Please ignore good review I gave them. Called once 2 months after job done and Jimmy was not only not interested in looking at the problem but was nasty to me on the phone. I thought I could trust him, but I guess not.

The new stairs are beautiful, Knockout's craftsmanship is excellent. Communication was great. We always knew what and when things were going to happen. Absolutely will hire again. I have already recommended them to my neighbors.

Thank you to Mitch Kersch of Major Homes for this recommendation about 8 years ago. We have previously had our porch repaired, waterproofing and concrete work performed and now bricks repointed by Knockout Masonry. A company is as good as its owner and workers. Here, we are dealing with caring professionals who go beyond to foster customer satisfaction. All have an eye for detail, and all take pride in their work. When workers are treated well it reflects in what they do. Jimmy, the owner, obviously knows how to run a business and develop great relationships with his workers and clients. Jimmy and his crew did great job in cleaning and repointing the brick in preparation for painting. They were right on time and did a very neat job. I would definitely use them again for future masonry work.

We met with Jimmy for a consultation. He was very professional and offered a few options on how to complete the job. Most importantly, he listened to us and valued our input. After getting a few estimates, we decided to go with Knockout. They were here for 4 days. Jimmy was on-site and/or in touch each day. He reviewed the plan with us, and made sure we were satisfied before he started work. The men who worked on the house were polite, efficient, respectful and professional. The weather was a brutal 95-100 degrees for the three days they were here, but amazingly, they did not stop early or complain. The work was excellent. We are very pleased with the entire experience. It went better than expected. Every day they showed up like clock work. The crew - who all work for Knockout and some outside sub-contractor - did an outstanding job of cutting & placing the bricks in a herringbone pattern and it came out beautifully. As Homeowners passed by on their way to the bus stop, they all shared complements on the quality of work being done. We will be having a Grand Opening this week and we are truly grateful for Jimmy A and his team. A superior job done by all.

The finished product was so beautiful. Couldn't believe it was the same sidewalk! Jimmy from Knockout Masonry is so professional and efficient. This is the second time I used Knockout for sidewalk replacement. He is efficient and is there when he says he will be. Great communication. No hassles. No problems. I will always use them!

The walls around the garden the water comes through the bricks and its forming moss on the outside. The driveway, the cement under the pavers is coming up and staining the bricks. They didn't seal it. They charged a lot of money it was very expensive.
When he did the steps he used paving bricks. On the side of steps he finished with cement not bricks. I didn't notice until he was paid.

"Dear Homeowner, I will like to thank you for your recent review here on Angie's List, as well as take the time to respond. I was a little taken away by the Overall review and comments, simply because I have not spoken or heard from you in nearly 40 months, that's almost 4 years ago. That means you had 4 season changes in 4 years and your complaints are about moss growing through your stones. I highly recommend my clients to invest in cheap home owners power washer at all times to simply rinse down their masonry once or twice a year. Your home is buried underneath dozens and dozens of high trees with limited sun exposure. The sealant of pavers was never part of our contract and is NOT recommend by the manufacturer of the paver for a minimum of 6-12 months after the job is complete, I would have been glad to come by at the time and price it out for you but nobody ever called us. The unsatisfactory report about your steps, I am confused about because those are what you and your husband choose, not me. Plus, we were on your project for nearly 3-4 weeks and you never suggested any signs of uncertainty because I would have helped you in any way I could. Finally, it is very typical for a homeowner to mention Price after the job is complete or after they bring someone else by to look at the job and sit there and tell people they overpaid. But, that is not the case here. If any Angie's List members reads our reviews they will see that we are not the cheapest but with over 150 Reviews, no member can count on one hand how many clients we left with unsatisfactory work. So, I will like to leave off by thanking you again for the work we did and by mentioning to you that once you saw anything you were not happy with you should have called us, Our phone number never changes. We were looking to have our old concrete driveway replaced and to expand back patio and we wanted to have this paved. Using Angies List I have requested quotes from three major players advertised there – one of them being Knockout Masonry. All of the quotes we received were relatively close to each other – Knockout being the most expensive one but I already knew that from reading all reviews and from talking directly to Jimmy – the president of Knockout Masonry… At the end we decided to trust Angie’s reviews and we hired Knockout Masonry for our project where we also end up adding three- steps stairs and smaller grill patio with walkway to it from our main patio. The entire process from the moment we met with Jimmy to the last day was very well organized with everything and everyone on time and as per schedule. Once the job started on Monday and then it went on for the next 8 or so days until my old ugly cement driveway and back patio + grill patio + walkway between patios were transformed into this million-dollar-look courtyard. I literally couldn’t not ask for anything better. The entire team was great and Jimmy as well as his father would stop by every day to make sure project is progressing healthy and that we stay on schedule. Bottom line, If I had to do it all over again – I would hire Jimmy and his company Knockout Masonry again without thinking twice. I have hired other companies in the past and Knockout Masonry is by far the best, most honest and professional company I had pleasure dealing with… Save the money, hire Knockout Masonry, do it once and do it right! see attached pictures...

We had a very large project. Jimmy set up the first meeting with us and we knew on the spot we wanted to hire him. He takes great pride in the work his company does, we knew someone like that would make sure we had a great finished product. He and his crew showed up on time, were extremely professional and courteous. Jimmy helped with suggestions when we told him what we wanted to do. Honestly it felt like he was as excited as we were when he came up with a design for our sloped flower beds. He told us from the first day that he would treat our home the way he would treat his own and he most certainly did. His crew was fantastic. They worked long days, were punctual and worked as clean as you possibly can with this kind of work. I am so happy we chose Knockout. I would HIGHLY recommend them. You get what you pay for and they are well worth the money!!

We hired Knockout to re-do our driveway with pavers after a previous contractor botched the job. Jimmy was very punctual and professional on the day of the initial review and provided me a detailed quote within 24 hours. He answered all my questions and managed my expectations which was important to me as I had been burned before. He was also very helpful and knowledgeable when it came to selecting colors and materials for the design. He was able to expedite his schedule and started much earlier than expected which was appreciated. From start to finish the job took 3 days; quicker than the 5-7 days he initially quoted me. He had enough manpower and equipment on site enabling the work to get done very efficiently. My driveway came out better than I could hope for and it looks like it will last forever! I highly recommend Jimmy and his guys and I'll know who to call for my next masonry job!

We contacted Jimmy from Knockout in late December about turning our yard into a driveway. We signed a contract January 2 and less than 2 weeks later our work was complete. He cleared the mess of grass, weeds, dirt, etc. and we now have a gorgeous driveway. We described our style and he showed us the perfect pavers. His guys were efficient, trustworthy, and highly skilled. I cannot say enough great things about Jimmy and Knockout Masonry. No need to look elsewhere for any masonry needs.

Another excellent job by Knockout! Jimmy and his crew were professional, efficient, and knowledgable on restoring a 30 year old stone patio. The stones were lifting and the grout was cracking throughout the entire patio. Jimmy and his crew came in to reset the loose stones and re-grout/re-point the entire patio. I could not be happier with their work. It shows true talent to be able to work with existing structures and restore it. See the before and after pictures. Thanks Knockout!!

This is the third job that Knockout has done for me, and it's a pleasure every time. They come when they say they will, they are professional, and the job is excellent. The crew is also just a really great group of guys - Mike was a real artist making sure the bricks with coloring were placed properly.
Jimmy was also going to put in a dry well for me on my rear basement stairs because they weren't draining after rainfall. It turned out that the previous owners had covered the drain with plywood. Jimmy's guys took off the plywood and cleared the drain - no extra charge and no charge for the dry well of course. These guys are great.

We had a super experience from start to finish with Knockout. Jimmy was prompt in responding and professional with his assessment of what we wanted. He also offered great design advice. They were able to start and complete the job sooner than estimated. The crew was amazing and efficient and now we have a whole new area to relax and enjoy the view of the yard for years to come. could do excellent work as well.
The company that did the drain system made a few mistakes and Jimmy managed to fix their mistakes to the best of anyone's abilities. He worked well with the engineer and plumber.

Jimmy is a real pro. He's organized, detail oriented, thorough, and communicates well. The openings were perfect to the measurements, lined up beautifully with the existing openings, and he followed all the architect's specs. Jimmy's guys were all very polite and helpful. Also, the floor was completely gone on the 2nd floor... there were only exposed joists, which makes the job more difficult for them, but they still went ahead with it. When some masonry debris fell onto the exposed insulation between the joists and my GC pointed it out to me, they addressed the issue immediately.
Jimmy was also really patient with me going back and forth with my architect on how the openings should be handled. I had just had a different contractor completely ignore my architect's diagram and leave me with a questionable deck, so I was a little more nervous than usual about having all the i's dotted and t's crossed on this one.
I would definitely recommend Jimmy and his company!! I'm already lining up my next job with him.
