+ 1 moreThe estimate for the job was well communicated. The salesman was knowledgeable and helpful in making suggestions for the job. The salesman was not high pressure but worked with us to find the best solution for our situation. The installation was supposed to start the beginning of May, 2011. Through no fault of F&F, weather continually set back the start time. When the work was begun in July 2011, the pitched roof was replaced in one day, the flat roof, skylights, siding and gutters over two to three days. The crew worked Saturday to get the job done. Minor issues were addressed on a mutually agreed upon time after the installation was complete. Inadvertent damage to the property was noted and the cost of repair was refunded without difficulty. We were extremely satisfied with F&F and would recommend them without reservation.
Description of Work: The house is approximately 3,000 square feet. The previous shingles were removed, new wood (where needed), ice shield, copper flashing and shingles were installed. Siding was installed around the house after the old siding was removed. Two electric skylights were replaced. A flat rood was completely replaced, roofing plywood included. 6 inch gutters were installed on the entire house. Three roof vents were replaced with the addition of one being electrically powered. An additional vent was installed on a front peak to add additional, needed, ventilation in the attic. All refuse was removed form the site. The area was well cleaned. The staff was extremely professional, efficient, responsive and polite.

Description of Work: i was recommended to this co from a friend, it was after the storm i had damage. i called they told me 125.00 and they would be there wed. i was impressed with how quick they were coming. they told me i didnt need to be there. i wanted to know how they would know what was wrong where it leaked in the house and that i had dogs so i wanted to be there and asked if they could give me a rough time-no they could not. well wed came i called in the am asked if they had any idea on time-no they did not but they would definately be there, well thurs came and i called asked what happened that i had stayed home and no one showed or called-the young girl put me on hold came back on the line and told me maybe i better find another roofer-great! what a bunch of unprofessional people-i called back and left on the answering machine that they needed to learn something about customer service-1 you can give someone a idea of time by seeing if first on list or last on the list and how many people were on the list and that it was an act of God form the storm that got them all this business- anyway i called john griffen and while the said 250 for the damage i discribed now that twice what f and f wanted i had them come and they came and did what they said they called ahead and were very professional and i would use them again-thank you carol lizza

+ -1 moreI FEEL THAT THIS IS THE BEST COMPANY IN NEW YORK. THEY REMOVE THE ENTIRE ROOF IN LESS THAN ONE DAY. THEY ALWAYS CLEAN UP THEIR CLUTTER BEHIND THEMSELVES. I HAVE NO MORE PROBLEMS WITH WATER LEAKING THROUGH THE ROOF.
