They showed up exactly on time. The use a subcontractor from NJ but Peak personal were on site. The work itself went very quickly. There was a guy picking the majority of the debris from the ground. They worked into the darkness but had to return the next day to finish. They found I needed roof plywood which I was happy to pay for and they put this on the main part of the old house. I was sold an additional GAF warranty on top of my State Farm policy for the roof as a whole. My porch could not be done because it was not warm enough for the product being used. As the weather started to clear in late Feb mentioned that here were still shingles here and there in the yard as well as roofing plywood. They were doing more work on my house unrelated and kept putting me off saying that they would get to it. In March a man from GAF came to inspect the roof and found three things wrong with it. 1) realigning the gutters with the drip edge 2) replacing shingles with exposed nails and 3) fixing some holes made by another contractor (which that contractor has agreed to pay for). I was contacted by Peak and CHris Riehle came out to check things out and speak with my husband and contractor. He came with no ladder and knew he needed to get on the roof. We just happened to hav an old one laying around and then he got an attitude that we had no "mits" for the ladder. In the email from Chris before his visit dated 3-31-10 said they only had 30 days to activate our warranty and today 4-16-10 we still have no idea what is being done and how much. Peak refuses to contact us. Whn I ask a question I am ignored and the have no answer for my husband as well. I have had to contact my insurance company to get my yard cleaned up but I am not sure what will happen with the roof. My next step is to contact GAF when the 30 days is up. Peak and Bill Metger never take any responsibilty for any thing. It is always the customer who is wrong or rude ortoo hard to work with. They are not punctual with estimates nor with CORRECT invoices I took a while to pay my deductible because he said he was going to adjust my other work to compensate me using them sine they were already working on my home. Then I was invoiced repeately with incorrect or not due items it. When I paid the dectibleI was given a copy in the office, I got an actual receipt in the mail and he cashed my check. After this he sent one of his guys collect the dectible money with a three week old statement. Not only had I paid it, he had cashed the check and sent me proof through the US Mail (snail mail). His worker kept saying he did nto knwo anything about it he was just sent to collect the money. In my opinion he is scatter brained and not organized. I would stay away from him. I can not get them to roof my porch, put the gutter up on it or refund my money. This may have to go to court. Such a shame. He is capable of just doing the work he promised, just chooses not to.
