Scott at P&S was great! Unfortunately, the problem did not get fixed 100%, but he still gets 5 stars for his service and helping us out with at least a work-around (which is far more than Friendly Honda could offer). Apparently there is an issue with certain years and models of Hondas with their ELD (Electronic Load Detection) systems. Unfortunately, ours is one of them (2007 CRV). We took the vehicle in to Friendly Honda 4 times. Each time we got a different runaround answer and no resolution (and of course, no admission that there is a known issue with their ELD systems). In fact, they went as far as to tell us, "Well, we have no idea of knowing how you drive the car." Yeah, nice. All you have to do is Google "Honda ELD" and it and it's right there.
What Scott was able to do was to provide us with a slightly stronger battery and some advice on driving patterns to help make sure the system charges. Short of replacing the ELD (which again, Honda refuses to admit there is even a problem with), this was our best alternative. Is it an ideal fix? No, of course not. But, we can't take anything away from P&S. At the very least, they were able to offer us some kind of solution and were extremely fair with the end price. We would go back to P&S in a heartbeat.
