Incorporated in 1991, Cedar Bay brings complete home improvement and remodeling services to the residential home market at a very personal level. All inspections and estimates are done by the owner and president, David J. Lawlor. All work is performed by employees with a vested interest in the company’s success. It was wonderful. The crews were professional and efficient. They were careful to clean up debris. I was so pleased with the job because I hadn't been able to find anyone else willing to add the extra layer needed. The owner also gave me other suggestions for less heat loss in the winter and was able to give me names of other professionals to help fulfill those suggestions. The quality of the workmanship was excellent.

"Nobody likes an uncomfortable review but this bears a bit of explanation .I, David am the owner, and I am the one responsible for the poor marks . The crew did an admirable job on a difficult installation . This exterior work involved complete residing of the home, stonework, new columns, new openings for windows, furring out of chimney for siding application ,gutters and extensive trim . I'm glad to say that's where we get the A. However, the way to the windows were trimmed, rendered two existing screens too tight for the openings.I indicated that would not be a problem and I would order two custom size screens . I should have immediately delegated this to someone other than myself and it probably would've gotten done immediately . I figured I was the best one to do this I simply didn't get it done . My very patient very considerate customers reminded me more than once and I still didn't get it done . So my apologies go to my customers, and my workers that must bear the brunt of new potential customers questions . I have tried to contact my customer to see if I can be of any help at this point . I believe they have taken care of this without my assistance and I am deeply sorry , and significantly embarrassed . If any good is to come from the disappointing situation, it will be to make sure the small details do in fact get done . As you can see by most of these reviews we do a good job and are very attentive . The disappointment my customers experienced is all my doing and none of our capable staff . I shall use this opportunity to carefully review why these things fall through the cracks , and diligently attempt to correct them . The crew was professional, courteous and hardworking and Dave Lawlor, the owner, was a pleasure to work with. It has been almost 4 years, and I am still completely satisfied with the work that was done. There is not another company I would consider for this type of job. This past winter, there was a leak in our house due to the harsh cold and snow conditions and Mr. Lawlor was immediately responsive, knew exactly what needed to be done, and went out of his way to help me resolve the problem. He really knows his business and makes sure that the customer is satisfied. I would recommend Cedar Bay without hesitation.

They did a fabulous job. It was a great service. They had great communication and quality craftsmanship. They didn't want to take any money until we were completely satisfied with the job. It was quite an expensive job. They were reliable. They did what they said they would do.

Dave is a great guy. I recommend him highly. He is easy to work with and does a great job. He is not the cheapest guy in town but you get what you pay for. This is second job he has done for me. The last was 20 years ago and the work has held up really well. You should use him!

Our home had a nearly complete exterior renovation including new siding and windows. The work required extensive exterior and interior molding replacement which were expertly crafted/installed. The owner Dave was extremely responsive and attentive to my specifications of the work. His two lead installers Joe and Billy were extremely professional in all stages of the project and are true craftsman. The finished project looks great!

Windows are beautiful. Job was done by Bill and cannot say enough good things about him and the work he did. Meticulously prepared the work surfaces and cleaned up afterwards. Detail oriented...made sure there's lots of insulation and caulking as old windows did not have much of either. Trim work was excellent...much nicer looking than on older windows. Was courteous and respectful. When you find someone who cares about the work they do, you just don't want to lose them for future work....they are hard to find.
Aluminum siding guys came next day and repaired around the windows and sealed everything up. Extremely happy with results and though price seemed high to me at first, they are worth every penny.

We loved Cedar Bay Construction. I like the fact that they are very professional and very fair. They do really good work and take pride in the their finished product. They have great customer service. The price was very, very fair. They are top notch. This was the second job we have had them do in our house and we actually have him coming back out this spring to do our bathroom. The guy that we work with, Dave, is just a great guy. There was trust. We left our door open for them, they came in everyday, did their work, and cleaned up afterwards.

The roof was replaced as contracted. There was a need to clarify the placement of a vent and I was contacted and it was resolved at no extra cost. Cedar Bay was flexible to accomadate another improvment project I had in process.

They did a reasonably good job and made a good suggestion with regards to the color. They were a little messy around the yard but cleaned it up eventually after I got on them to do it. Their staff was fine and I had no problems with their punctuality. They were pretty responsive and I would use them again in the future.

This is the 4th job that they have done for me. The work, when completed is excellent.
This job was to add metal edging to my roof to eliminate ice daming that I have experienced.
Dave, promptly quoted the job but as it was not an emergency it was medium prriority &
took some time to get it into the schedule. My only complaint is poor follow-up on
confirmation of final timing.

They are fantastic. The owner came to my home and talked about what I wanted done. We both gave feedback and we worked together. They will fix anything that goes wrong. They did a fantastic job. I spent a lot and I had a lot done. They were a little bit above average on the price. I would absolutely use them in the future.
