Aspen Home Works

Description of Work: My back room ceiling collapsed due to water damage from ice back-up during the winter. The back-up also caused unseen damage in the room next to it.. After an extremely heavy rain, down went the ceiling and the room next to it was soaked with ceiling damage also . I called Aspen Home Works and Tracy, the owner, came and assessed the situation. He was very personable and gave me a detailed step by step process of what needed to be done. This made me feel very comfortable, knowing the process and estimated length of time for each step. It also gave me confidence that he is a seasoned carpenter, being at this craft for over 30 years. All the mess of insulation and ceiling that had come down was cleaned up promptly. The section of ceiling in both rooms was replaced. You would never know where the new pieces were. It looks beautiful! He also replaced the back roof and put on the proper roofing; (as the previous person put on the incorrect roofing and did not properly tar and install the roof around the chimney). I was so pleased with the work and Tracys attention to detail, that I asked if he could look at my storm door. It was time for a new one and the door frame was off, as it had never closed properly (again, due to previous person). He explained to my why it never latched properly. I told him what type of door I would like and he went and picked it up for me. He took apart the whole door frame and installed a new one, along with the new door. It shuts the way a door should! All the work done was very precise and is holding up to the test of time.
