PACKARD FLOORING SUPPLY CO INC

When the wood arrived, we noticed that most of it was junk! It was full of knots and defects, and I could not find a single piece in the first bundle that was not defective in some manner. I called Kevin of KO and he said he always orders the inferior product to save money and he would be cutting out the defects. I was not happy with this answer but I let him continue . His crew of one showed up on time to tear up a 16 x 25 room of oak flooring as well as all of the sub-flooring which was soaked through with water from Hurricane Irene. His one man team began to tear up the oak and hlfway through the job, began to tell me that my sub-floor was OK and did not need to be replaced. I went in the room and looked, and the plywood was soaked through. I called Kevin and he began to scream at me that I was an idiot and that he was saving me money. I told him I had no interect in putting down new oak over soaked plywod. He continued to rant and rave until I hung up and told his man to leave my property. I contracted another installer who would not use the garbage wood that packard had supplied. KO floors only returned 700 of my 2500 deposit and I was stuck with the wood because Packard refused to refund or upgrade the wood for me. I offer to pay a restocking fee, but they were obviously siding with their installer and refused. I sold the wood on Craigslist for a fraction of the price. The wood should have been about 900 dollars and he had one worker work for 4 hours yet he only returned 700. I will never deal with either company again
