LEE HANSON SPRINKLERS

I have been using Lee Hanson Sprinkler's for many years. The main people he has working with him are good and competent and therefore I stayed with the company because I mostly dealt with them. Over the years however, whenever I dealt with "Lee", I was frustrated, unhappy with his attitude, and mostly disappointed that the owner himself, knew so little about his business and my property. A few years ago, Lee made a comment to me about a personal experience he had and it was a racist comment which, although I redirected, made me very upset. I decided I was done with Lee!! At that time, I called another irrigation company and attempted to make a switch, but due to a serious medical situation in my own family I reluctantly went back to Lee Hanson because I had to prioritize and my sprinklers were at the bottom of the list of things I could put my attention to. This last experience with Lee was the final blow. He came here to open up my system for the season. There was an underground pipe that was bubbling up under my patio. He insisted on digging to see if he could find the leak, only to charge me for 1and 1/2 hours of labor and then he could not make it right. This leak, according to my contract, should have been covered anyway. I ended up suggesting to him that he just cap the last head on that zone and irrigate the other section as an extension of another zone. That took him about 10 minutes! I went in the house after that and when I came out, when he said he was finished, he claimed that he had changed several heads on other zones and yet could not explain why except for one broken head that he produced to show me. The bill was $250. for a call that should have been mostly included in my service contract. My friend was here at the time and I was so upset, I went in the house and so my dear friend took the bill and paid Lee a few weeks later just to save me a fight. Today, Lee's crew had to come and redo some of the work that was done on that day. It was a confirmation for me that I absolutely will NOT continue to patronize Lee Hanson sprinklers because he is incompetent, unreasonable and his racist comments should not be supported.
