Description of Work: What an amazing experience! I had my future home inspected yesterday by Tommy and I was highly satisfied by his work. He was punctual and took his time combing over the home. He pointed out whatever defects we had and explained how to go about correcting them. He accomplished this in a way that was comforting and not in a way that would make one nervous. I felt very comfortable with him immediately. He had a professional truck and came prepared with a flashlight and ladder. Before hiring him I made sure that his licenses were legit and they were. I couldn't believe that someone would have so many positive reviews but now I know why. Although I had my inspection yesterday, Tommy called today to let me know that he sent my finalized report to my email as well as letting me know my report was also being mailed to me. After reviewing the report, I can honestly say I was very impressed. He took tons of digital pictures and pointed out everything we went over previously. Description of Work: Tommy performed a very thorough home inspection of all areas of the property- from the front sidewalk to the back fence, every area was covered. He inspected all the appliances, went up in the attic and covered everything in the basement.

We received an e mail the next day with all of the information and all also a binder was mailed. The binder and email have all the pictures of what he went over and his recommendations. This is my third time having to get an inspector and he was by far the best!

Description of Work: Tom arrived at our planned meeting time. My first impression of him was that he was neatly dressed, clean, and seemed quite happy to be there. He took 4 or 5 minutes to out line what he will be doing, and encouraged me to ask any questions that I might have along the way. Tom was so detailed orientated and systematic in the way he went about his work, that all my questions were answered without having to ask them. Less then 24 hours later I sit with a meticulous report in front of me with pictures to farther clarify his comments. I am now comfortable to go forward with plans to replace or repair things in my home. I spent $450.00 on this service, but I already see were it has saved me hundreds more. Now when I have someone in my home to do repairs, I will know what needs to be done, and what doesn't, what should be done right a way, and what can wait. It was a pleasure spending time with Tom, and I would recommend his services to anybody that is unsure of repairs or any kind of work they might need to under go in their home. It also is very nice to work with someone who really enjoys doing what he does, and that becomes quite clear in the first 5 minutes you spend with Tom. Roberta

Description of Work: Tommy was hired to perform a pre-purchase inspection of the home I am considering to buy. He was prompt, thorough and well prepared. He went about explaining all the various aspects of the house pointing out the positive as well as the shortcomings of the property. He took the time to explain what was needed and why. His inspection was an education in home maintenance and repair.

He spend a full 2 hours inspecting everything in the house. he told us what was in need of repair and what was dangerous. He took pictures and forwarded a very detailed report within 24 hours. Description of Work: I called Tommy because I'm considering doing some interior renovations and was concerned about cracks and other imperfections that have shown up in my house after only a little more than 3 years. I did have the house inspected before buying it in 2007 but have since discovered that there were a lot of areas overlooked by my original home inspector. Tommy arrived promptly at the agreed on time and did a thorough outside inspection (pointing out areas that should be looked at and improved on to prevent future problems - i.e., pruning back some small bushes on the side of the house to avoid future termite problems). He also recommended that I have my roof inspected by a professional to make sure everything is okay. We then moved to the inside where most of my concerns were. The good news is that the hairline cracks that I was concerned about are not serious but just a result of poor workmanship by the previous owner. A huge relief because I was seriously concerned about structural problems. He also recommended that I install an exhaust fan in the bathroom to help eliminate some of the moisture problems and add additional insulation to the attic crawlspace to cut down on the heating bill. He also checked out my breaker box and discovered violations that I will arrange to have corrected as soon as possible (this in spite of the fact that I had an licensed electrician in to check out all of my circuits and update as needed)

He identified items that should be repaired or replaced, and also estimated the remaining useful life of the major systems such as electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioner equipment, structure and finishes.
