We found HomeSpector on the internet & chose them because the company had 5 stars with 241 reviews. The reviews were very accurate. Tommy is a pro! We definitely got our moneyâ s worth. He went above & beyond what we were expecting in a home inspection. The inspection was done in January of 2021 during the pandemic when many homes were being purchased on Long Island so Tommy is probably very busy, but he took his time to do a thorough job. As he looked at and tested everything, he offered explanations & had patience with our questions. As my husband put it, â Heâ s not an inexperienced person with a home inspectorâ s license. He knows what heâ s doing and what to look for due to his history with home constructionâ . Tommy provides educated answers. In less than 24 hours, we received Tommyâ s email of a professional, detailed inspection report and then within days, we received a very impressive, beautifully presented report in a binder along with photos of the condo and educational brochures that are helpful for homeowners. We definitely, without any reservations, recommend Tommy of HomeSpector to anyone who needs a home inspection!

Tommy was GREAT! I rarely write reviews but he did such a wonderful job inspecting our home, I felt the need to praise his work, since I found him through yelp, and the simplicity of his website did have me wondering (hope he finds someone to help update his website to match his profesionalism and amazing work). I compared Yelp to Angies List to BBB to various Home Inspector certification sites and emailed three home inspectors (have been told anything related to houses - get three quotes). I also googled "what to look for in a home inspector" and "what to ask." Tommy responded quickly with thought out responses to my questions. Though he was slightly more than the other home inspectors I had emailed, his email response already showed drastic quality difference, and for a home inspector, you want someone detailed, especially in writing reports. He arrived to our home on time, allowed both my partner and I to follow him the entire time (one of the questions I asked in the email and something google said is a red flag if a home inspector does not want you present). He spent 3 quality hours explaining what he was looking at to us and taking photos for his amazing binder he mails you immediately (really every step he blew us away). He looked at our roof (its amazing how much you can see from the street level), gutters, windows, foundation, driveway, deck, how rain water flowed around the house, checked for signs of termites, tested every outlet in the house, checked the dates / maintenance records for the ac unit, furnance, and water cooler, went in the garage, attic, and crawlspace, and of course walking around the interior of the house (checking that it was level, any signs of water damage / mold, and etc). He was so indepth with his explainations and when we asked him for contractor recommendations, he let us know that is a conflict of interest and maintained a high level of professionalism, while also being down to earth / friendly.

Tommy took his time and he explained everything and every step of the process. He made sure I knew what was a major problem, what may become a problem and what was just a cosmetic issue. Tommy went above and beyond I feel and was worth every penny. I would definitely recommend getting an inspection done by him before purchasing a home.

My husband and I are extremely pleased with Tommy's service, he was very thorough, and pleasant to deal with. He took plenty of pictures, and explained everything being inspected. Inspection lasted approximately 2 hours. His report was received the following night. We would recommend HomeSpector to all friends and family. Pricey but you get what you pay for, this type of service must be performed by an experienced professional otherwise it could cost you thousands of dollars in the future.

Tommy is the best of the best and will exceed all your expectations. As first time homebuyers my boyfriend and I were very new to the whole process. Tommy held our hand throughout the whole process and made us understand everything! Tommy is very thorough, knowledgeable and patient. He speaks with coherency making sure we understood everything about our soon-to-be home. I came prepared with a 6 page color coded list of issues and questions for him. Not only did Tommy address all of my concerns with ease he taught us about the house. Tommy took the time to show us how to operate everything in our house. He covered approximate age and gave us first hand knowledge on all appliances. He was so detail oriented I was astounded. Tommy was so sweet and comforting. My boyfriend and I even joshed about having him and his wife over for dinner. He just makes you feel like you've known him for years. He gave us an additional discount and told us to call him anytime even after we buy the house. I would highly recommend him. You will find NO ONE BETTER! His home inspection report was so detailed and he followed up with me right after he sent it. It also came to us extremely detailed LESS THAN 10 HOURS after we saw him! What a dedicated guy. If you go with any other home inspector besides Tommy you will regret it.

My wife and I just had a home inspection done for a potential home, and Tommy and his associate Evan were on time, courteous, thorough, and above all extremely knowledgeable and professional. They took the time to thoroughly explain, detail, and explain everything to us. They professionally answered all our questions and made sure we understood each part of the inspection along with his recommendations. The inspection was done on Thursday and in 24 hrs. We received an electronic report by email and a professional 3-ring binder hard copy in the mail by Monday. The report is fully detailed with his findings and items he pointed out, and includes photos they take during the walk-through. It truly was amazing service, and I wouldn'��������t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for the best home inspection service!

My experience was great with homespector, Tommy did a great job, he was very thorough about the inspections, i will definitly recommend him for home inspections.

Inspector did not lift dropped ceiling panels to ck for damage, termites etc. Central air was turned off for winter, no way to know if it works. Inspector did not ask about check valve in basement toilet line.
