GENESIS FUEL OIL & BURNER SERVICE

They quoted me $2.67 per gallon. I received the receipt via mail & was charged $2.74 per gallon. When I called to ask what happened I couldn't get a word in edgewise. The female rep tells me my gas gauge isn't working and that they put less than 200 gallons so the price is $2.74 which was not explained to me prior nor was a notified. The gauge read "E" (we just closed on the house). After roughly 2,3 minutes into the conversation & I couldn't speak because she kept talking & wouldn't listen, I told her I'm good and hang up as I was 29 weeks pregnant and don't want to be bothered nor was I interested in arguing with this unprofessional female. Additionally, there are many oil companies on Long Island that I can shop with. She calls me back just to hang up after sasking you were referred by so & so right? I said yes I was, she says "why are u so nasty"& hung up. Very unprofessional and disrespectful. I'll spend my hard earned dollars elsewhere. 

I would not recommend this company. They are UNPROFESSIONAL and most of all UNRELIABLE. I had an annual service originally scheduled for my oil burner on September 10th, 2018. I did not receive a call the day before as promised to provide a window of time for this service. I had someone wait around hours for them until we called to get a time, but wait, they lost our phone number somehow and didn't bother to show. I did business with them in the past couple of years and they should have a record of my number. Wasted day off! Mistakes happen and I gave them another chance and we rescheduled for September 19, 2018. Again, no call the day before. Called them on the 19th to get a window of time. They provide 3pm-5:30pm. 5:30 comes and goes, no show, no call. Wasted my time again! They somehow believe their time is more valuable than yours! What if I had an emergency in the dead of winter? I wouldn't rely on this company thats for sure! At least provide some professionalism and call if you can't make it. It is also difficult to reach them on the phone. It frequently goes to voicemail or an after hours answering service. UNRELIABLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!

Found their number on Angie's List and called around 5:30 AM. Got a voice mail and they returned my call around 7 AM. Made appointment for a technician to be at my house between 8 and 10 AM. The technician showed up around 9:15 AM His name was Josh. Very professional, started to diagnose the problem and half hour later he was done. Replaced cad cell eye. Labor $170, parts $46. Total $234 (including taxes) The work was great, the price expensive.

It was a special. They were thorough and quick and the price was great.

They were able to promptly deliver oil and left my shrubs and bushes near my tank in good shape (unlike previous provider). Price was fair and as communicated.

Very pleased with the quality of the work. The serviceperson was courteous and did a great job.

We are very happy with their service and oil pricing. Our oil burner is old, and whenever we have had a problem, a technician has been available immediately, the repair cost was reasonable, and the service was honest. In terms of the oil pricing, we have saved considerably after switching from a leveled plan with a major home oil delivery service.

They arrived on time after calling ahead to notify that a tech was on his way. Reasonably priced and quick service.
