Aaron Drucker - Redfin

Everything about this experience was great. If you aren't familiar with the RedFin real estate broker model, here are the big differences: -RedFin agents are paid a base salary and then a bonus on your customer review once the purchase is complete, unlike typical agents that get paid a commission based purely on the sale price of your home regardless of service provided. -Rebates part of the sales commission paid to the agency. On my $675K home, I got about $5,500 back! This model is causing a tizzy with local brokers who will claim this is illegal, etc. It threatens their easy money commissions that are made no matter what kind of service quality they give you. Aaron Drucker was out real estate broker. He assigned a real estate salesperson, Suzanne Stark, to tour homes with us. You start with their great website or phone/tablet app. Search for homes and you can add them to your list to monitor or put them on for a home tour. Really easy to keep track. Suzanne scheduled our tours and took us house to house (we looked at about 18 over 3 weekends). She kept notes of each place visited which they later sum up into brief reviews on their website. We loved a particular home but it turned out to have one issue after another and Suzanne was the voice of reason. Once we found our dream home, Aaron came out to assess the home and help us determine a value. With prices starting to rise, we had to move quick. Aaron finished back and forth negotiations within 48 hours. Redfin's e-document services sped up everything as we could e-sign from our iPads! We used a lawyer linked to Aaron (review to come) and had contract negotiations done in 24 hours and everything was inspected and under contract in under a week. Throughout the process Aaron was fantastic, acting as real estate agent and sometimes therapist as worked through the buying process and mortgage process. At the end of the process, RedFin gave me a rebate of their take of the deal that amount to about $5,500 which definately helps! From start to finish, between the app, the service and the rebate, I would use Aaron and RedFin again.
