JAY IS A TRUE PROFESSIONAL AND EXCEPTIONAL CRAFTSMAN. HE DID WORK THAT I COULD NOT FIND ANYONE WANTED TO DO . JOBS WERE "NOT WORTH THERE TIME" (TOO SMALL) HIS PRICES ARE VERY REASONABLE AND HIS WORK IS EXCEPTIONAL. HE REPAIED THE "DESK DRAWER " OF MY ANTIQUE "BUTLER'S DESK" WHICH I THOUGHT WAS HOPELESS. HE RECREATED THE FOLD DOWN MECHANISM AS IT WAS ORIGINALLY WAS DON E. HE WAS AMAZING!

Jay came picked up our dining room chairs which were very expensive when new and he did a masterful job reappolstering the chairs.We could not be happier!thanks Jay.

Jay came to our house, picked up the damaged chair and fixed it in very reasonable amount of time with very reasonable price. He returned it back to our house in like-new condition. Overall - an excellent experience.

This is to update my previous negative rating since I have finally received the reupholstered chairs and ottoman which was extremely well done. I understand the reason for the delay and completing the project had to do with serious medical problems at the professionals end and was therefore unavoidable.

They took possession of 2 chairs and ottoman plus upholstery material and promised to complete the work in 6 weeks. They now have possession of my furniture for over 3 mos. and repeatedly promise delivery and repeatedly fail to deliver. This is extremely awful service and totally unfair to me. I waited all day today since they promised delivery and delivery was not forthcoming. They do not respond to my calls or e-mails. Do I have to bring a legal action? The value of my property is approx. $2500-$3000.

I was faced with the choice of dumping my sectional couch and buying a new one, which can be costly, or trying to find a repair company to fix the main section which contained a bed. I contacted Jennifer Convertibles and they referred me to Alef. From the very first phone call, I knew I was in good hands with knowledgable professionals. The appointment was set up and I immediately knew I had a trustworthy person in my home. Some measurements were taken and the repair was explained to me. Within a short time, there was a second appointment to complete the repair with a part that had to be custom fabricated. My sectional looks brand new! The rate was so low that I asked twice if that was the final price. A real bargain and I have referred friends to this company over the last few weeks. Alef also does reupholstery so they will be helping me with a love seat and my dining chairs. A big thanks to a small company that provides BIG service.

The quality of the work was excellent. The measuring, assessment and cost quote for job was very professional. The chair seats were picked up as scheduled. The job took a couple of days longer than anticipated, but still was completed in a timely way. A couple of phone calls went unanswered when trying to finalize cost and delivery, but all questions were ultimately answered to our complete satisfaction. Overall the project was uncomplicated and the results are fantastic. I would highly recommend this company.
