Within 12 months of the completion, I started to notice cracking in the drywall in several spots around the room. I had the drywall repaired and the room repainted (my expense). But the cracking returned months later. Soon, the sliding glass door from the room to the deck wouldn't close properly. I adjusted the door to try to get it to close flush with the frame but soon the door was at it's full adjustment setting and there was nothing else I could do to eliminate the growing gap at the top of the door. Eventually I realized the whole corner of the room was slowly sinking. The drywall cracks continued and the deck began to distort from the sinking of the room it was attached to. I called Kevin to have him come out and take a look. I fully understand that settling can occur. However, this is extreme. When standing in the room, you can tell the floor is slanted in 1/2 of the room. When you sit on the deck, it's almost like being in a fun house with the twist, turns and gaps in the decking. This morning, I get a text from Kevin that "he's just too busy and won't be able to do the repairs". Unreal. So now I have to find another contractor to try to fix his sub-par work. If you're looking for someone who won't stand behind their work and fix it, even when you agree to pay to have him fix it, Kevin is your guy. Otherwise, save yourself some headache and find someone else to do the work.
