The trimmer was ready before the promised date and charge was at the lower end of the range estimated. It started right up after the repair.

They picked up my riding mower on a Saturday and had figured out the problem by Tuesday of the next week. Also sharpened the blades. They were responsive and helpful when I asked them about how to prevent the problems I was having.

I called Fairport Hardware in the Fall. My lawn care provider (for seven years) would use a riding mulching mower for the final mow of the season. That got rid of fallen leaves. In 2012, after two years of declining service, the mulching mower was not used. I tried the self-propelled mulching mower that I have not used in a few years and found that it would not start. So I had to rake my lawn myself, which is a very large job. It took me almost two weeks to get all of the leaves to the street for pick up. I looked on Angie's List and called Fairport Hardware. They came to my house with a pickup truck and took the mower. That was in October 2012. In March of this year (2013), they returned the mower to me. I tried to start it, but it would not start, though I could see that it was low on gasoline. (My gas cans were tossed last year, so I needed to buy a new one.) There was no hurry, since I only use the mower in the Fall. The other day, I bought a gas can, filled it with gas, and started the mower. Works fine. Fairport Hardware did the job and made it easier on me, since I would not have been able to get the mower to them in my car.

This was a good experience. We had a small miscommunication at the beginning--I thought they had said they would come and pick it up by Wed and they didn't arrive til Friday, but I may have misheard them. Their pick-up guy, Roland, was super friendly, and he gave me an extra hand in getting the mower out of my backyard to where he could load it. Once they had it, it only took a few days for them to fix it, and it was returned in a very timely manner. They had quoted me a price of around 150, so 177 didn't seem out of that range to me. All in all this was a pleasant experience, and I will use them again for my mower repairs and maintenance.
