Both clocks are in A-1 shape now, and much information was shared so that the clocks will remain accurate and running.

He is very good.  He said it didn't need anything.  The service is good.  He did a lot of instruction explaining.  I was well satisfied.

Wonderful experience. My grandfather's clock (which my father had built) had not worked in probably 5 years. I was anticipating that the 'doc' would need to take it with him or replace the works (he had advised me that was a possibility when I spoke with him on the phone). Instead, within a matter of 30 minutes, my clock was working perfectly! I have already handed out his info to friends of mine who also needed some clockwork done. Thanks!

He looked at the clock with me and recommended some additional repairs which would have had to be done soon anyway.  It took four months for the work to be done, longer than the four weeks he initially estimated.  However, the clock works like new again.

It was a pleasure meeting James Myers of the Clock Doc.  Not only did he take the time to discuss the practicality for repairing my two antique clocks, but he also gave me a bit of an education about the clocks themselves.  As promised, he called with an estimate when he had the time to get into the clocks.  It was a fair estimate, so I authorized the work.  Both clocks had been in for service with two other clock repair companies, and both times the repairs  were unsatisfactory.  After James explained what needed to be done, I had confidence in his ability to get my clocks working as they should.  The work was completed when promised, and I was not disappointed. The day I picked them up, James gave me a full history of the clocks and went into detail as to what each clock needed to bring them back into proper service.  The price was reasonable.  I have since brought another antique clock in for service by him.  Fixing old clocks is a tricky business, and James Meyers, the Clock Doc certainly knows what he is doing.

We originally took the clock to a different shop [that shall not be named in Bushnells Basin] for repair that was not done properly or on time (took over 6 months) and we were overcharged.  I took the clock to ClockDoc to have the work redone after numerous attempts to get it done right by the first place we tried and finally giving up (another review). Our experience with ClockDoc was just the opposite. He was fair, very clear about what he would do and how. He was also very realistic about how long and when I said I needed the clock done in time for my wife's birthday, he checked his schedule, confirmed that it was possible and then completed the work on time.  The clock is now hanging in our house again, running well (finally!) and running as he predicted. He said that with the original spring it would run about 5 days on one winding which is less that the seven days when the clock was newer but that replacing the spring was a big deal so we are waiting to do that).  This was just such a complete different and positive experience after our nightmare with the other clock repair shop.  I feel great confidence in recommending him. If the spring weakens further, I will bring the clock back to him to replace it with a new, stronger one but for now, the clock runs well enough.

The Clock Doc met me at the door and was very courteous and personable. He listened while I explained the problem and then explained what he would do. He gave me an estimate and only went over after he called to ask if I approved. He had the clock ready when he said he would and did not change the character of my sentimental clock. Excellent experience.
