Everything went fairly smoothly. They did a nice job with the siding. I would have liked them to be a bit more thorough picking up after themselves every day (i.e., I found several nails and/or other sharp objects around the house which is problematic when you have pets). In the end I felt like they were rushing to finish because the job ended up taking longer than expected due to the lead crew member being consistently pulled off the job to cover for another employee with an absenteeism issue.

The quote given was two times the cost $15,000 than any of the other three quotes which ranged 6-7k. The rep was pushing moister barrier as something unique whe it was required under state law

The gutter repair was fine. The cleaning is a different story. The men were sloppy - throwing debris everywhere and not as thorough as it should be for $250. I did not complain at the time because the job was done and at least my husband didn't have to climb on the roof.

However, now one gutter at my rental property is now filled with debris and a small tree is growing.
This gutter was supposedly cleaned in March so I have no idea how this happened over 4 months. When I called the company they refused to even send someone out to look at it. I lived in this house for 10 years before we moved to our current home and NEVER had such debris build up in this gutter. It is not near trees or any shrubbery.
So, even though we avoided a climb on the roof, we should have paid more attention to how poor the cleaning job was.

Overall, in hindsight. I would rate the overall quality of the cleaning as poor. You pay $250 - a "discounted" rate- which is much higher than any other provider. We will not use this company again.

It turned out well. We had a problem with the glue bonding down on parts of the countertop and cabinet refinshing. They were willing to make it right, but it took them awhile. They didn't charge anything extra. They were very busy. The price was reasonable.

We have used kc exclusively for all of our housing projects for over 25 years and have been very satisfied with workmanship., pricing, and demeanor of their employees.

it Never got off to a start!

They were great to work with, I felt very comfortable with the company and the workers. My gutters look amazing!

I needed a new roof for a long time. Last winter part of the facia came off and I could see the board underneath was rotted. So I figured it was time.
The company came while we were on vaction, which I told them it was fine do to. It took them about 3 days to do. Roof looks nice. However I now have a broken outside light, one of my exhaust on my lower roof is dented and bent. and what was the final decision that lead me to call them in the first place was a missing facia. Well guess what, apparently when they were removing the roof, they knocked the facia that is on the opposite side of the house off. They called and said they could not put it back on because they would have to stand on my porch roof which is rotted so they can't. I had originally wanted the porch roof included in my quote, but that was missed. So they quoted me $6000+ just to redo this tiny porch roof. So here I am going into winter with part of my facia off. I don't have the means to put it back on right now.

K C Construction do an adequate quality of work but their charges are exorbitant. The only reason I used them is because I couldn't get anybody else to do the work that I needed at the time. There were certain elements within the porch that needed to be replaced but what they ended up doing was essentially replacing the whole porch. They have skillful craftsman but I did not appreciate their charges. A quote from a competitor was $5,000 less and with generously adding up labor rates and materials the work didn't cost K C Construction more than $7,000 tops. I felt in a sense kind of victimized. There was no budging or negotiating and since I had to have the work done I went ahead with it but I definitely resented it. I made up my mind that I would never use them again for anything.

They were efficient and got the work done on time. The price was reasonable.

The experience overall was very good. A request for a quote was scheduled by phone. The sales person that visited our home was punctual, courteous, and professional. The gutter system, the company, and the warranty were all satisfactory. The installers were on time, completed the job in less that one day, and did a good job. I am typically very leery of people working on my property and i like to be home when work is being performed on my home. This day i was unable to be home. In the past, I have had bad experiences with contracters damaging my property or home while they are working. I had none of these problems. I have extensive landscaping that i was concerned about, but nothing was disturbed. The gutters looked great. I inspected the work more carefully the following day and i had some concerns over a few fasteners used to attach the gutter covers. The heads of the screws seemed to cause some of the shingles to raise up a bit. I was concerned about the gap if and when there was ice damming. I called the sales person on his cell phone who said he would be out that evening to look at the job. Within the hour, the installer called me and asked me if he could come out to the house to meet with me and see what my concerns were. The next day, the installers came out and found a few shingles that needed some tar sealant applied and tamped down. I was impressed by their responsiveness and their knowledge of the product. I was very happy with the end result.

The workmanship was very poor. In heavy rain the water completely overruns the gutter guards. So their design is poor. That's not all, I still have a leaking gutter in the worst possible spot over a often used door. In cold weather the overflowing water freezes on the concrete just outside the door creating a real hazard. I called KC Construction numerous times asking that the problem be taken care of. They sent a repair man one time and all he did was drill a few holes on the gutter cap which did not resolve the problem at all. He was here for no more than 20 minutes. From that point they stopped returning my many calls. Basically, they blew me off. I held fire on my complaints and didn't get belligerent thinking that they would be reasonable and interested in protecting their name. They weren't reasonable and did nothing to protect their reputation. I just joined Angie's List and I'm delighted to have the opportunity to save you the time,aggravation and expense and maybe get a little satisfaction through payback. I've waited a long time for this. Since then, I've never missed a chance to warn people of their unprofessional and shabby work. BEWARE!

They did great job. I would recommend them to anyone.
