Orkin Pest Control

I didn't like them. I fired them last year. They wouldn't tell me when they were coming so they could do the inside of the house. So they would spend not even 5 minutes spraying the perimeter. Sometimes they would spray the perimeter in a torrential downpour or 10 ft of snow so nothing ever got to where it was supposed to go. They never wanted to do what I told them to do so I got rid of them. It was an annual cost of $632.

Still not resolved after 4 treatments with no explanation or communication

They were excellent. I live in a town house and they were always good.  I don’t know why they stopped using them. I guess they tried to save money.  They were pretty competitive with their prices but when somebody knows somebody they recommend their friend instead and their friend was not even good.  They were punctual, they were friendly, and they were knowledgeable.  They were good.  I had no complaints.  Last time our facility used them was a year ago and since then we have not had service anywhere near what they gave us.  They were very professional.  I will use them again.

He was really great! They are actually coming back because the ants haven't all gone away. It's not them, our entire block is infested with ants. I've talked to their customer service center and they've been been wonderful! I will continue to use them in the future, we signed a year contract with them. Depending on our ant and rodent state at that point will determine if we stay.

Very badly. On the Saturday after Christmas, December 27, 2008, an Orkin representative showed up at our house without calling in advance. Upon answering the doorbell, the Representative entered our home without introducing himself or asking to be admitted, or being asked to enter. He then "bolted" for the basement where we have an apartment for my mother-in-law. She was sleeping. He came up after about 60 seconds, and I asked him to leave. He asked me to sign a receipt for services, which I refused to do. Upon calling Orkin to cancel my service, I was told that I had to "write a letter". Instead I sent an email to their customer service center from their website. Their representative acted very rudely, inappropriately entered my home, and did not leave when requested to do so. I was told that it is not their business practice to call in advance. Given the fact that they have business practices that are inappropriate for visits to a home, and that their Representative was very rude, I would never consider using them for pest control services.

Although we set an appointment, they could not come out and kept showing up at very inconvenient times for us. Then, we tried to set another appointment but they never showed up or called back. They should not send an appointment card without a telephone number!
