"Respectfully, this is in accurate and unbalanced review. Customer at no time asked for oak. Mahogany and white cedar was asked for. We offered red cedar which he declined initially though it is a better wood. Later he accepted and approved cost for red cedar when we could not source white cedar in those dimensions. We offered Azek (fake wood) for skirt boards (fascia) initially because it is a superior paintable product relative to white cedar. We acknowledge to the customer that we did not meet his expectations on the appearance of the handrails and offered to fix the work as we always do. Many of the pictures shown, however minor or serious, are of the original install which we attempted to redo 3 times. We asked for a portion of the balance left on contract (not more money) after the second return visit to offset costs of our efforts to satisfy our repeat customer. I have no doubt the customer has records proving our attempts to take responsibility for a job unsatisfactory to him. I assume this review would be even worse if we were not a firm that made our best efforts for our customers whether a job goes well or goes poorly. Despite that fact that we made so many attempts to satisfy our customer, in the end we were simply unable to meet his expectations and he asked us not to come back. "As a attempt to save our new customer money during the purchase and move in of her know home, I asked if we should paint the walls only and not the trim (as we often do) because I thought the trim was satisfactory condition. Upon final review of the work she commented that the baseboard were not done in her sons room and hallway and said they should be included with "the walls" as was not stated in the contract in all of 6 rooms. I clarified that they were not and quoted her additional for her sons baseboard. She did not agree so K&S said we would come back and do it for free. When we schedule her for this she later canceled. Later there was pealing on 1 of the bedrooms walls. We do not know why but remedied the problem as we always do. Any further issues we have not been contacted about but are willing to remedy any problems that we may be responsible for. Tom Fisher (Senior Estimator)"

"We at Korth and Shannahan are very disappointed in the review posted by [member name removed]. We are the recipients of unfair, and slanderous statements. Anyone one who knows K&S or has worked with us since our beginning in 1979, knows we operate with a high level of integrity, and accountability. [member name removed] has decided to wrongly accuss K&S for damage that is, unfortunately, her responsibility due to faulty plumbing. We share no ill will for [member name removed], though it would not seem to be the same in reverse.
