The bathroom is perfect, the kitchen should have been better planned, with cabinet doors hitting the wall when opened. The remedy was little stoppers on the wall. Had it been installed a few inches over this would not have been an issue. A window molding needed to be replaced - it looks very do it yourself, not professional. However our biggest issuee is dealing with problems after the install. The people sent couldn’t really address fixing some of the cabinets, then when our new dishwasher was installed, the wood in that area broke, and the owner stopped responding. We were willing to pay, knowing that it had been a couple of years since the original install.

This was the first experience we had with a remodel since we bought our home, and it went so poorly it has scared us from going through something similar again. While the individual subcontractors that were hired for plumbing, drywall work, flooring and electrical all did quality work, anything that involved the contractor themselves was pure chaos. We had three different project managers during the two months they worked on our kitchen, and none of them seemed to ask what we wanted in terms of layout and design. We were promised efficiencies such as pull-out drawers in cabinets, but nothing came of it. When we had problems with the cabinetry, calls were never returned. We ended up having the work finished by others. The kicker? A year later, they called us up asking us if we wanted to hire them again.

The work was not started as promised. I signed a contract in July of 2004,for work to start in October 21,2004, it was started in march of 2005, their excuse was the permits, I informed them well in advance about the village I live in that they need to file soon as possible. They have worked in my town before so this was not news to them. The work started on march 25,2005, a promised to complete by June,2005,then July, then august, finally November 18,2005. The many problems, a stall shower was on order for 4 months, the posts on the ramp needed to be cemented in, a fence needed to be fixed, a hole in my house fixed, doors had to be either replaced or fixed, both inside as well as the storm door, leaks in the roof, and now the bathroom at the foundation is separating from the wall and I have moisture either from outside or the shower is leaking still, because it has been fixed 3 times before. I even have a mushroom growing in the floor from the crack.
