I first hired Rick in 2000 to inspect a commercial building I purchased in Corning, NY. He did such a great job with that inspection that I hired him to inspect a new home we were purchasing in Syracuse, NY. I then hired him again to inspect a commercial air conditioning installation in Corning, and most recently hired him to inspect a home I was purchasing for my in-laws in Syracuse. I keep going back to Rick because is the most knowledgeable person I have met in his field.
On our most recent purchase for our in-laws, he actually removed an air vent in the basement, stuck a camera up in between the walls, and was able to produce photos of mold growing on the back side of the sheet rock. We then decided to have a special mold test done, and he had the results back from the lab within a few days. That allowed us to contact a mold remediation company to come out to the home and provide a quote - which was about $6,000 - that we were able to get the sellers to pay. We never would have found that without Rick.
I recommend him without hesitation.

Rick came on time and started immediately. He covered every inch of the repaired areas, on the roof and in the attic. .He provided us with a detailed report later the same day. Rick has done a number of home inspections for us over a twenty plus year period, as we have moved a number of times. We have recommended him to several friends, all of whom were also very pleased with his work. We will definitely use him again if the need arises.
