Materials were delivered on time and extra material was picked up promptly and refunded to my account. Couldn't ask for better delivery people. They placed materials just off the edge of the driveway as to not drive there lift into the lawn and create ruts. pick up of materials was scheduled to my time so the I was available to count returns with the driver. Receipts of returned material to my account came in the mail a few days later.

We heard water leaking into the crawl space of our home and could see water leaking from the vicinity of the hot water tank.  I called plumber Wrenn's Plumbing and Heating.  Plumber installed new relief valve on the new tank which cost $111.00.  I called Lowes and they told me to call the manufacturer of the hot water tank.  Water also ran under the floor into adjoining bathroom and caused damage by heaving the floor.  Vinyl floor has to be torn up and underlay replaced.  Vinyl floor then has to be replaced which will cost about $1000.00.  American ---hot water tank manufacturer advised me that will pay for plumbing bill but will not pay for bathroom floor damage because the new hot water tank was not installed properly.  Their case #is 06690198.

   I called Lowes Headquarters and they denied me again both at store and headquarters level insisting the Hot water tank was installed properly. 

   If true, I should not have sustained any bathroom floor damage.  There is a vinyl pipe extending from relief valve to under the floor  level that was apparently not reinstalled properly during the replacement of the new tank.

   The plumber advised me that the Lowes installer also did a poor job of reinstalling the floor under the new hot water tank.  The installer charged me about $395.00 to install the new tank and new tank was not firmly attached to the new floor which was poorly replaced by the installer.  Tank does not appear to be very stable when he applied some modest pressure with his hand.

   I would never purchase another large appliance or never use their installer again.

Here's the deal: The water heater cost $220. Total cost, including installation, was to be $475.

When the serviceman got to the house he said that there were all sorts of issues and it would cost an ADDITIONAL $550. to install the tank. He said that it'd take a couple of additional hours, and the rest was for parts. One of the things he said was an issue was that he couldn't even drain the water heater, (it was clogged or something and he'd have to get an extra guy so that they could tip the tank over), BUT the water heater WAS JUST DRAINED 2 days earlier because we thought the problem was that the elements had blown and so drained the tank and replaced them, (it wasn't the elements). So clearly - that was (can I say bullsh*t ?)... ummm "not accurate", at all.

So total cost that Lowes wanted to install a $220. water heater was $1025.

Did I have them do it. No way. I had them leave the water heater. Today I had the water heater installed. It took about 2 hours, and did not need ANY additional parts - none. Not one dime was spent on additional parts. All the parts needed came with the water heater.

Great service, very professional. The sales person and estimator was very knowledgable about styles of fence, and products available. Because we had waited a few months after the initial estimate to purchase the fence, he came back out a second time to review the estimate and address any questions.
The installer was also very professional, and mindful of quality. Would call to update us on status of the material and potential installation dates. Once the fence was installed, went over cleaning, maintenance and repairs for the fence if necessary. Also discussed the sensitivity of vinyl in extremely cold weather. Made sure our backyard was cleaned up properly, and addressed any questions we had.
Would definitely recommend, and use again if needed.

I had two other companies also come and complete estimates for me. The other companies were not timely or detailed in their estimates, and the amounts they quoted were up to $3000 more than the $4000 I ended up paying. Additionally, the Lowe's estimator came and completed the estimate, making sure we were comparing the same types and sizes of wood pickets and installation methods quoted by the opther builders, so wew were comparing apples to apples. He forgot one of his tools when he left, and as the fence was a surprise for my husband, came back at an odd time later and picked it up fro a neighbors curb to save my surprise :) The subcontractor assured me that by going through Lowes, I actually got a better deal than working with them directly, as they would not get the supplies as cheaply as Lowes offered them. Baylor (the subcontractor) was timely, professional, and extremely fast. My 200 foot shadowbox cedar fence (6') was up from start to finish in two days. I was able to bargain a little on price with the estimator. The builder cleaned up the site nicely, and The leftover supplies were credited to my account after... although they were not picked up for a while (only complaint). Overall, great experience. Now a year later, my fence looks and works great!! No problems whatsoever!!! Highly recommend!
