We found City Works NY II on Angie's List, when we were specifically looking for someone to complete our wallpaper job.  It became clear quickly that Luis and his team were capable of performing many jobs we needed to complete. He is fully licensed and certified in many lines, and sailed through our building's strict approval process.
One contractor we had interviewed before going on Angie's List had essentially declined our wallpapering job, given the sophisticated finish of our paper.  After our preliminary interview with Luis , the job was done two days later.  No damage was done to our finish and the design was perfectly alligned.
In the bathroom, he had to allign the two mirrors perfectly next to each other, or the whole effect we were seeking would have been lost.  They sought and wanted my approval as they undertook the job, and made sure that the job was done right the first time, rather than me having to get them to redo it.
We had three pendants in our open kitchen that are a key visual element of our kitchen/living room/dining room.  Time was taken to adjust the length of the lighting from the ceiling for each of the three pendants.
Get this:  while working on the pendants in the kitchen, Luis fixed a leak in our kitchen sink faucet and adjusted some cabinet shelves.
Each job required plaster and paint touch ups. Rather than having to point that out (as we have had to with other carpenters ) Luis's workers were asking at the start of the job 'where is your spare paint?'
So what you are hearing in this review is that Luis took each job seriously, worked quickly, and made sure that all the little extras were done to perfection as part of the job.
We will be remodeling our kitchen in the near future.  We are sure that Luis, the owner of Cityworks New York II, has access to all the professionals needed for that larger and more complex project. Perhaps the best thing to say is that CityWorks New York  II delivers peace of mind and Luis is now our go to guy for all our maintenance and remodeling needs. Thank you Angies's List !

Even though the job was Marc gave me the same excellent service. He came with Nick and gave me an estimate immediately. I gave them the specs on the paper, they told me how much to order and set a date. Marc, knowing I lived in a co-op contacted the managing agent and arranged all the insurance papers without me being involved.
John came to hang the paper exactly on time and was amazing. He was meticulous and the paper really transformed the space.
When I spoke to Marc afterwords I mentioned there were 2 rolls of paper left. He, incredibly, offered to take the paper off my hands (as  the store did not offer refunds)and adjusted my price. It's one thing to give such excellent service, you kind of hope for that, but quite another to respond this way to an issue.
I highly recommend Cityworks, everyone from Marc to the actual men painting and wallpapering are absolutely professional.
In addition, they will always go that extra step, moving furniture, making sure everything is protected from damage.

Marc and his staff were professional, pleasant, and responsible. They gave good, clear advice about how to address previous damage to the floor to yield a good result after refinishing.  Communication (by phone and text) throughout a couple of weeks of work was great.  Details and requests I made (for example, some additional tear-out work and a punch-list at the end of the job) were addressed to my full satisfaction.  I thought the price was entirely fair; by the time the excellent work was done, I felt good about what I'd paid, as well as the results.

The work took 3 1/2 days to complete.  Each day Luis & his partner were on time.  Before the work started they completely covered all the floors & furniture.  They were neat & respectful, careful & considerate.  They cleaned up every day & even took the garbage out with them.  The walls & ceilings all look new & beautiful.  I highly recommend them.  I have nothing bad to say about anything that they did.  What a blessing to find Luis!
