Architectural Service
Buyer beware! He tried to charge us $12K for initial concept drawings for a backyard deck simply because we naively agreed to pay his firm by the hour! Mr. Fernandez and his firm has no integrity. We hired Mr. Fernandez to design a deck for us in Nov 2018. The first round of concept drawings were way off from the scope that we emailed to him and agreed to. The second round of concept drawings were largely consistent with we wanted however he charged us $12K for two pages of initial concept drawings. At the pace that he was billing us, the architect fees would have been around $25-30K for a $100K deck project! In our final call with him regarding his outrageous fees, he told us that we were dumb enough to sign an hourly agreement with him so he had every right to charge us as much as he wanted and we would have no recourse. We do not recommend Mr. Fernandez as an architect for any project.
