The quotes they gave us, after some back and forth with different models, was competitive. The installation and its installer worked out great. (Pella uses Crawford Windows and Doors as a sub-contractor. When the job was completed and for the first year, I would have heartily recommended them. Our relationship with Crawford has gone south this year, when some repairs were needed. We were mislead on the warranty information we were told by the installers the day the install was completed. We were told that we had a "limited lifetime warranty" on everything, even if a window or screen was broken. I questioned the generosity of the explanation at the time, even giving specific examples like, what if one of our dogs rips the screen? No problem, was the reply. At no charge, I asked, and the answer was "YES" So our dog ripped a hole in the screen and we were told that the information we had was not correct. They sent a repair guy, who took the screen door frame with him to repair. This is after they would not come before they had a credit card number. They made a date to return with the repaired screen door and did not show. They repair guy did call, however, to say it was not repaired for some reason (and this was after waiting over 3 weeks). They are supposed to be here today, with the screen door (9/29/14), which makes it almost one month. There has been alot of back and forth on the phone that I won't go tag on here, but suffice it to say that the right hand doesn't seem to know what the left hand is doing and they do not seem very professional or organized. My word of caution if you use them for an install, get all promises in writing or video tape the conversatons.
