Had my driveway resurfaced 7 years ago, and had an extension put on. Unbeknownst to me the extension was done at less than 2 inches, rather than 3 inches, and has been cracking ever since. Meanwhile, the driveway surface has been a CONSTANT problem, despite nominal use and regular sealing. Frankly, I think we got scammed because we were women, but any company that would do that isn't above board, so there it is.

It went great! It was a 2 year process... I paid a little extra for them to dig a bit deeper and install extra gravel because I park a full size van in my driveway. My original driveway was from the builder of the house (1965?) and ruts had developed where the wheels rested. They were friendly and professional, they even went the extra mile and did more than originally planned on. I would definitely recommend them.

Every step performed in exact accordance with proposal, contract and on site conversation. Crew accidently clipped electrical line to garage, but it was immediately repaired. I was very pleased with the quality of the work. Materials were top quality. This outfit has a reputation second to none and it is well deserved. They are pros who know what they are doing.

Despite adverse weather, the results are beautiful. The pitch is perfect. The workers are cheerful courteous and clearly like their work which is reflected in the results.

They were excellent. Yes, it was expensive. A little high, but worth it, you get what you pay for. Responsiveness: They were very good about everything. I can't- I definitely have no complaints

Ken's did a great job. Job took 3 days. First two days they regraded the old stone driveway & replaced some of the stone with new run-of-crush and compacted the stone. The last day they put down 2.5" of #3 binder as a base coat. They will return next year to put down a top coat. The workers were pleasant and used care around the landscape. They cleaned up after completing the job. Not cheap but seemed to be a quality outfit.

While I had quotes from a number of potential providers, and all of them priced lower than Ken, Ken provided a very detailed quote with exact specifications of the products to be used and how the work would be done. It provided an assurance that Ken and his company knew what they were doing. Quality is what I was seeking.
The communication from his company re scheduling and the "do's and don'ts" after the job is done was very explicit.
It was a two day job this year. One day to excavate and grade, the second to pave using "binder". Next year they will complete the job with a "topcoat".
After the binder was done, Kris, the paving boss, reiterated the "do's and don'ts"and gave me further advice re the new driveway.
If you want quality and very specific information of what you will get for your money I'd definitely recommend Ken's Paving.

My old driveway was chipped cracked and in bad shape. Got a few quotes, Kens's was a little bit more than another firm, but the details and description on proposal were more precise and sounded better.

First visit Fall 2013 arrived when expected and removed old driveway. Then layed down water barrier, crushed stone, and pavement. Had full crew and whole job took around 6 hours, as promised. Had one minor complaint about one of the guys, which I took up with them and they addressed it.

They came back next summer 2014 to finish by putting down top layer.  That job only took a few hours the crew was efficient and professional.

Spring 2015 still looks great, like a brand new driveway.

When removing the existing blacktop they broke a Time Warner cable that was buried in the ground. They had it repaired within about an hour! Other than that the job went perfect? Very pleased with their work so far!

Absolutely the best. Had three previous driveways that I paid good money for and always had problems with. No wasted te or money here. Real pros. Bad news ( for them) the way they did things probably the last driveway I'll ever need. Great news for me!

Ken was great to work with throughout the whole process, much better than any other company I tried to just get quotes from. Ken's finished product looks much better than other driveways in the neighborhood that were done recently by his competitors, who also quoted higher prices. Be careful with other companies who started with sealing and then added on paving. Ken's team is a well-oiled machine, is on time, and has a great attention to detail.
On the day of the top-coat, he let me know about an issue with the height of a small section of brick landscaping, and allowed me to put in a quick temporary fix to allow the driveway to be paved at the necessary height so rainwater will drain correctly. It's a simple enough permanent fix, I'll be able to put it the way the landscapers should have done it with minor supplies from Lowe's. He could have made it work as it was without saying anything, but the foresite is greatly appreciated. Knowing what I know now, I would always recommend getting the driveway done first, and then landscaping if you're in need of both like we were.

The driveway preparation was an amazing job to watch. The crew is very experienced and worked like a well oiled machine. The teamwork was truly impressive. The drain improvement was not in the initial estimate, and was suggested by Ken's without extra charge. The conduit was a godsend enabling us to have the light pole wires underground instead of through the ditch! Once the asphalt was removed, it became evident the driveway bed was good and didn't need a complete overhaul. Ken's lowered our estimate by about $1700 on the spot because of this. Because the job was done so late in the year, when rain and snow interfered with the work, the blacktop didn't get laid until many days after the initial work. The delay was a bit of a problem, but unavoidable. We anticipate the final coat to go on (additional, and clear in the estimate) this spring. There are a few depressions right now from settling and cars, and hopefully these will be addressed with the final coat and won't reappear. Very happy with Ken's - professional, communicative, willing to explain various aspects, left the site pretty clean (a few cigarette butts).

We were expecting to have our Town finish putting a topcoat on our road during the Spring. They got delayed and never did our road until the middle of October! Ken had given us an estimate in early Spring and was expecting to do the work early Summer. During the delay Ken kept in contact with me and the Town Highway Superintendent. Ken communicated with the Super that he would need an inch or two of reveal at the road edge to be able to tie in the driveway which did happen thanks to Ken communicating effectively with the Town. Kens office contacted me the day before the work and they showed promptly with a very efficient crew. The edges look great and they tied into our stampcrete seamlessly. Ken had stopped previously to give us a recommendation on how to handle our downspout which he pointed out wouldn't do with the plastic four inch pipe we used. He recommended to use a four inch PVC pipe which we replaced. They finished around the pipe beautifully! Every review should have some criticism so the only thing would be when they blew the driveway off quite a bit ended up on the stampcrete driveway which they could have blown off into the yard. Other than that it was an enjoyable experience.
