DUNN TIRE

I think I have been a Dunn Tire in DeWitt customer for about seven or eight years. In that time I have always found them to be unfailingly polite and professional. Their customer service is first rate. I don't bother to shop for tires when I need them, I just go to Dunn Tire in DeWitt because I know I will be treated right.

Had gone to just have a nail replaced in a flat tire and ended up with a full set of new tires. While the tread was worn, it could have easily gone another year - Especially since Dunn Tire had just done the car inspection the month before and the tires didn't need to be replaced. I was probably better off just getting them then and having new tires for the winter - on the other hand I could have gone another year without the expense. Regardless, the service was fine and follow up visits are usually a breeze for tire rotations, air refills, etc. Not crazy about the heavy sales pitch though - especially knowing I didn't NEED the tires. It is what it is.

Overall it was a positive experience. Good quality work, pleasant waiting room. Two areas that need improving:
I never received a call, as requested, stating my tires were in.
It took 2 1/2 hours versus the 1 1/2 stated.
Again, it was a positive experience overall. The manager made a point of giving me a discount due to the unexpected wait and was very friendly.

Our regular go to is no longer there. We weren't sure if everything would be the same without him but the staff was great. They got us in quickly, got the work done efficiently and we were out of there as usual. I like this specific Dunn Tire because we've had great experiences with every car we've had. Not all Dunn Tire locations are all the great. We were highly satisfied.

They are pretty good. I have had a good experience with them.

I brought my car in for two new tires plus an inspection, asking that they do the inspection FIRST, then put on the tires as long it looked like it would pass. They did the opposite, installing the tires, then did the inspection. They found many things wrong with the car, some of which were true (broken spring, leaking gas tank) and some of which were not (they claimed I needed new brakes pads, when in fact I did not--I had just looked at them myself and there was plenty of wear left). The estimate for repairs was over $1000, not including the gas tank. I did not have them go ahead with the work. In addition, they managed to break the locking mechanism on the front hood, so now it could not open. It did function when I brought it in. When confronted with this fact, the manager was extremely belligerent, and refused to take any responsibility for it, claiming that it was me, not his shop, that broke it. I will never go back to Dunn Tire, and would advise anyone who cares about their car to stay away.

They were close to were I work, helpful, knowledgeable, quick about getting the tires on and I haven't really had a problem. I was really happy.

Dunn must have changed management or something. They want to do as little as possible. I've used Dunn in the past for tire repairs, replacements, etc., and always been happy with them. So when I needed to replace all 4 tires on my SUV, I went there first. They sent me on a wild goose chase to get some pressure sensors from the car dealership, telling me that they couldn't order it, the customer had to. I checked with another repair shop (Glissons), and they had no trouble getting the sensors, so I got the tires there instead!
