Veterinarians
my dog was scheduled to see the surgeon electively later in the week, but her condition became an emergency and i rushed her in. they came to the car to get her and carried her in and treated her right away, life saving treatment. she stayed in the ICU overnight, the surgeon saw her that morning, and did her surgery on the day that was initially supposed to be the consultation. they were very professional and kind as I was so upset when she first came in. she came home about 2 days postop doing great. She stayed in the hospital a total of 4 days. it is not cheap but they know what they are doing--very skilled, very professional yet caring. i hope i don't have to bring her there again under such emergent circumstances but they do a great job. this is actually the third time i have had to bring the dog in emergently for something (first 2 times were years ago) and for true emergencies they respond so quickly.

Veterinarians
There are probably not a lot of acupuncturists for animals so that narrows the list quite a bit. They are recommended by my veterinarian. They are very wonderful with my dog. They are very compassionate and patient. We have seen improvement and if it is not that than we have to put her down. My dog is little; she is ten pounds. The price is $70 per week. The charge for acupuncture is fair but for other stuff, it is expensive. In terms of punctuality, sometimes they run late, but I understand it when you are trying to put animal down, sometimes it takes longer than you think. We go there every week.
