Took used leather sofa to the ALPS CARPET and UPHOLSTERY facility in East Syracuse for deep cleaning and conditioning estimate. Was given estimate of $250 which seemed reasonable since the sofa was being tossed out had cost me nothing so far. Rescued by me from a distant family member, it was approximately 10 years old and had been violated for same period of time by a growing infant, 3 large dogs, 2 or 3 cats, a deadbeat dad and severe neglect. I was sure that somewhere under the various crusty areas, mold, spiders nests, stains and general filth was beautiful leather sofa. At least I hoped that I was sure. A few days after the sofa had been dropped off, it had been deep cleaned and conditioned and it looked, felt, and smelled like a "New Distressed Leather" piece. The perfect piece of furniture destined for a little log cabin tucked into a quiet piece of Down East Maine. This was the first time that I used ALPS CARPET and UPHOLSTERY, but, it won't be the last!!! They did an excellent job!!
