SMITHTOWN TREE & LAWN SPRAYING

We were not happy with them. The cost was per application, depending on what they did and when. There were multiple bills over a several month time period. I was unhappy with their billing procedure, and thought that they were extremely expensive, which still ended up with lousy results. They were overpriced. Our lawn looked worse after they were done.

He was responsive and we played phone tag a lot. He would return phone calls. They did show up when they said they were going to show up. 

As far as customer service, when things didn't look like what they were promised, the owner kept trying to blame us for everything even though we followed all of his instructions to the letter. When we made payments, he would sit on the checks and not cash them for three or four months, which makes it hard to balance a checking account. He wanted his payments on time, but then sat on the checks and didn't cash them. We had to call him numerous times to get him to deposit the darn checks and it would take months. 

He appeared knowledgeable and well spoken when he met with us to give us the proposal, but I didn't think it was professional to blame the customer when the lawn looks like crap.

  I first called John on a Saturday afternoon and left a message.  He returned my call later that evening and came by my house the next day to give me an estimate.  Was informative and didn't try and pressure me.  He calls the night before to say when they'll be by to spray.
