Prehoda Remodeling

Horrible, HORRIBLE experience. Let me explain…. Does not take responsibility for work. Damaged my property, grossly negligent, used improper building materials, failed to follow architect’s plans, failed all inspections and refuses to rectify. I’m now left with building materials attached to my house which must be completely removed, entire project demolished and restarted with a new, competent builder. How this company was ever issued a license is beyond me. I’m out over $30k with nothing to show for!!! Prehoda Builders, specifically Rob Prehoda, takes zero responsibility for his negligent actions, substandard building and clear breach of contract. To add insult to injury, THE OWNER himself, while excavating, discovered an abandoned waste clean out, never informed me, and “assumed it was connected to a dry well”. He then proceeded to take it upon himself to backfill it with rocks and dirt stopping up my waste line and leaving me to fend for myself for a week. Then he had the nerve to say he wasn’t responsible!!! Had to have MY plumber at my home till midnight sucking up the crap he backfilled into my waste line. See photos of this “handyman special”. Missed the footing entirely on 2/3. Two swings and missed and one foul tip! Tried to cover up the worst of the 3 with dirt. But at least he’s consistent there in coverups. I could’ve done this better with my tools I bought for my woodworking hobby. ??? Such poor craftsmanship. Look at the framing. His method, as he himself said to me is, “nail the $hit out of it and it’s not going anywhere!” STAY FAR, FAR AWAY!!!!!

I liked their quality of work and the fact that they always were on time. Everything was perfect. Exceptional woodwork and craftsmanship!

Rob is honest and trustworthy.  His craftsmanship impeccable!!  Rob provides an accurate initial assessment on the cost and time it would take to complete two projects and there were not any surprises along the way.  We are extremely happy with the finished products..

Once again I used Rob. I had a new front stoop installed with bluestone and bricks which looks beautiful and 5 new bedroom/closet doors installed which was a difficult task due to the fact that my doorways are not level. He was able to cut the doors at an angle to accomodate my very crooked doorways. He is a true master at details and and I will continue to call upon him for any other improvements I need.

Robert did an excellent job. He was very professional and finished the work in a timely fashion. His attention to detail is outstanding. We are very happy with the work Robert did.

Excellent, I would use this company again and recommend them at a moments notice.

Rob is a professional, skilled, and courteous craftsman. He did a great job with the cabinetry work we needed completed. He took extra time to meet with us to understand our requests and ideas before any work was started. He kept us in the loop of his schedule and timing. Now finished, the cabinetry looks great. I would recommend him to friends and family members. I would also hire him again for additional work at my home.

The work was performed timely, efficiently, neatly and professionally with above and beyond craftmanship.

Mr. Prehoda was very honest, punctual and meticulous. The stairs no longer squeak at all. He also replaced the underside of the staircase with new sheetrock and he spackled it beautifully and then painted it. He also vacuumed every particle of dust every day he was working. I cannot offer enough praise for this company. The price was extremely reasonable and the work superb
