for being my first time I was very pleased with the whole situation. When the girls came in they explained everything to me and asked questions if I understood what they were going to do. I am very satisfied in what they did and am considering monthly service.

Hired Flower City to clean my mother-in-law's house post-Christmas. I am from out-of-town and chose them based on their many positive reviews on Angie's List. Pre-cleaning communication was excellent. The first mild annoyance was that the two cleaners showed up 1/2 hour later than the 1-hour arrival window which meant that my mother-in-law was ready and waiting for them for 1.5 hours before they got there. A simple phone call indicating they were running late would have removed that issue entirely. The clean itself was okay... not great. Not surprising considering that it took a team of two only 1.5 hours to clean an entire 1500 sq ft home. It has 4 bedrooms/2 full baths and pets (2 cats and a large dog). The cleaners use feather dusters versus cloths/rags and the dusting, in particular, was very superficial. Many items were moved and not put back in place. One picture was knocked onto the floor and when my mother-in-law went to pick it up she found 2 dead flies next to it - a clear sign that they hadn't noticed that they had knocked over the picture. Additionally, the cleaners left without checking to make sure that everything was done to my mother-in-law's satisfaction. This was particularly problematic as there was a bedroom in the basement that they missed completely. In prior years we've hired Merry Maids and they did a much better job - but they also spent twice as much time and charged almost double the price. Perhaps we should have booked the deep cleaning service instead? To be completely fair, I was only charged for the time spent and when I called to complain about the results Missy offered to come back and address our concerns. We declined her offer and will be going back to Merry Maids next year.

We were sorry that we could not remedy this situation. When the homeowner was called, she said everything was fine, that she was happy with the service and our technicians. So there was quite a bit of confusion over the complaints, and we were not able to resolve anything despite our efforts. I can say that the techs were later than expected, as our weekly meeting was pushed to a different day last minute due to the holidays. We apologize for the inconvenience that this caused your mother-in-law and will keep it in mind should we be running late again in the future. We were not aware of the finished basement. Our techs are trained to complete 2 levels of the home unless otherwise stated. We would have been happy to come back to take care of the missed area but again, the home owner said she did not have any complaints and was pleased with the service. We thank you again for the review, as it will make us a stronger company."

We had a pleasant interview with the owner and manager of the business. She looked at the house and gave us an estimate. The cleaning people we have met have been very gracious and extremely diligent. They come prepared to clean every surface including baseboards on a regular schedule. The cleaners are young and energetic, motivated by a chance of advancement. We are very happy to support this young entrepreneur and her business that aims to serve its customers and reward its employees.

We met with Missy, the owner, who carefully listed and took notes on what we needed done in our home. She provided us with a folder of the services we could expect and a price which we thought was very fair for the cleaning. Missy explained the products that would be used and the contact methods the company would employ to connect with us for reminders. The technician arrived within the timeframe stated with everything she would need, equipment and materials, and went right to work. She was pleasant, professional, thorough, and focused. It was a pleasure to provide her with a gratuity (not required) for work very well done. The house was spotless and we couldn't have been more pleased with Flower City Cleaning. We were able to pay on-line with credit card making this experience even more convenient. I am confident that the monthly (every 4 weeks) cleaning done by the technicians at Flower City Cleaning will be equally top-notch. We truly appreciate the commitment to service of this company and Missy, the owner.

Service was just as Missy guaranteed. The house was spotless! Certainly a luxury for my busy family and not inexpensive, but the feeling when Ashli and Erin left was kind of priceless, and the quality was there. All five of my bathrooms were clean! At the same time!! ;) Highly recommend. We especially appreciated that our concerns were noted in advance on the work order and that the girls were extra careful of our concerns about our delicate rugs and our boys' lego statues. Missy was fair in our billing and easy to work with.

Did a great job and faster than I thought was possible, which is reflected in a very reasonable price. I especially appreciate how attentive and hands on the owner is at following up with customer satisfaction. Notwithstanding my initially miscommunicating some of my desires due to inexperience with hiring cleaners, the owner personally ensured that the vision was realized. This is a business worth knowing because they are investing in their staff as well as local goodwill.

I did not have to leave any instructions for this cleaning crew which was amazingly refreshing. With the Holidays coming up, I needed to hire a cleaning service to come and deep clean my home. As a busy Mom of 2 boys, I rarely have the time to tackle anything more than "surface" cleaning, so I called Melissa and she worked with me to find a time convenient for my family. I was pleased to see that the day of service, her staff arrived promptly. During our cleaning, my husband had to stop home and he remarked at how hard the three cleaners were working. I must say that my home has never been so clean! It has been a few days since my service and I keep finding areas of my home that are sparkling clean. Not only did it save me time, Flower City Cleaning far exceeded my expectations and I will now use their service on a regular basis!

Mel - and Missy - gave me back a peaceful living space once again. I can breathe... There was a lot of underlying guilt and overwhelm knowing how much I had to do to get the apartment back up to my (very) high standards. They performed exceptionally well based on what I handed them when they walked in. And in only 4ish hours. In addition - handling new clients and the "first clean" is always tough since we're still getting to know each other and they're getting to know my level of expectation. A follow-up call to Missy the day after regarding things I noticed (tiny details that only 'my type' would notice) was handled with empathy, understanding and - most importantly - utter professionalism and class. Major plus -- only natural products used. My apartment smelled lovely (of Thieves essential oil!) when I walked back in. Overall - a joy to work with!
