lousy. crew was late, got lost finding new house. once they worked, they worked. hard working bunch, but box was missing, got no assistance at all from allied or claims department. paid insurance for nothing. went with brand name, bad decision.

They were excellent,efficient and did a great job. I would recommend them to anyone.

From the beginning we had a great experience with this company - the salesman Dennis was on time, professional and knowledgeable. He took the time to answer all our questions and concerns and was with us every step of the way. The office staff were polite and helpful and explained the steps of the move thoroughly. The moving crew showed up on time ready to work (and boy these guys worked very hard!) polite and super helpful in setting up our furniture. This is a company I highly recommend and would definitely use them again.

I chose this company because they promised me they would beat another flat price quote that I got from a different moving company. My sales rep specifically sent me an email stating that he got his manager to approve the cost of my move to be $1800. The competition quoted me $1875. The sales rep came to my house and took a detailed inventory list of everything that we had and assured me that the total cost of my move would be $1800. The office called me for payment in full the day before my move and I gave them a credit card over the phone. The day of the move the movers broke brick steps in the front of my old house that I needed to repair and made multiple large holes in my walls trying to fit my exercise equipment up a stairway without taking it apart. The movers worked hard despite the damage and we tipped them all very generously as well as bought them dinner. Four days later I saw another charge on my credit card for $686.50 from this company that I never knew about. After multiple calls and leaving multiple messages for a manager to speak to me, I explained how I was told the total cost of my move would be $1800 and my credit card was just hit for an additional 30+% without any permission or explanation. I expressed my disappointment and we discussed the situation in detail. I spoke with Elliot Becker who nastily told me that the move took longer than they estimated for and how my signature is on the contract (which I signed at 10:30pm after an exhausting day) and there is nothing he is willing to do for me.

Their quote was entirely misleading. Their representative did a thorough review of my house and had very detailed knowledge of what was required for the job. The fact that they estimated that it would only take 9.5 hours when 13.5 was actually required, was a huge error on their part or part of a bait and switch technique to win my business. They said they would meet my price from a competitive service provider and they chose to charge us 30% more, after the fact.

Moving is stressful, I have to tell you I moved with Hillside Van Lines and they took the stress out of it. From the moment John the salesman came in to my house I knew this was the company to use. The whole company has been extremely professional. The office staff was wonderful and if I had a question it was answered immediately. The crew that came to pack my belongings were polite and handled my furniture like it was their own. The driver and crew were so helpful and stayed even after everything was unloaded to make sure I liked the set up of each room.
What a truly wonderful experience and I would 100% percent use them again!!!

The men arrived promptly all in professional uniforms, they worked very hard to move my furniture onto the truck to my new location. Very Very Happy with Service

Overall the move went well but the price was on the high side. One item was damaged beyond repair( a 1 yr old drawer) made from particle board. One storage closet that was suppose to stay with us was moved onto the truck so my wife spent a few weeks missing most of her warddrobe between moves. They made a nice effort to try to retrieve the closet but ended up bringing the wrong one back. Reassembly of our futon took forever. The truck that they used was so huge that the movers had to spend a ton of time just moving stuff off the truck. Lots of wasted motion adding up by the hour. Antiques were taken good care of and drivers and crew were friendly. Company makes good accounting of all items in move. Storage facilities uses a crate so it is very expensive to move in and out of storage.
