Geek Squad - Best Buy

They used to be great and now they stink.I made an appointment, I got there and the man who were suppose to do the work on my computer told me I have to wait because a walking customer without an appointment got priority. Then I let him hold my computer because while I'm waiting let me go to the other department and maybe I'll just buy a new computer. He was very nice and got back. So, I buy a new computer and the salesman contact the geek Squad and told them that they have a new computer purchased and I would like to have the Office Suite forward put on the computer and ask them if they can do that and they said not without an appointment. So, they made me an appointment in the same day. It was 2:15 I got there at 2:20 because of when you make a big purchase now your credit card company to their credit does a big search to make sure it's not identity theft. So. it took an extra five minutes I got to the counter. The guy knew me and said hi. i told him that I'm the one that needs blah blah blah upload on the new computer and told me that he can't work it know because he's working with a different customer and I said okay. The salesman got involved and they were wonderful and said that I had an appointment and the guy said that I was 5 minutes late. So the salesman make another appointment for me for 2:45 and at that time the gentlemen they said that I need a Microsoft username and password and I asked him why. He said that I need to do that and give it to him because then I can upload the Word and I said okay. So, the salesman was wonderful which is not part of Geek Squad and said to me that he'll make me one. So, him and made it and we gave it to them and he still refuse to work with me. Then the manager got involved and got this other gentlemen to help me and of course the gentlemen that helped me who was wonderful did work on my computer. This is not the same Geek Squad that I signed up with in March that run like a dream.

The people are kind of helpful when I am there. I have looked around that place forever trying to find someone to help me a lot of times. I will call someone from that department and I think they have gotten better. They are okay.

They never contacted me and never refunded the $100. I will not shop there again.

THE MAN WHO CAME WAS VERY POLITE, CLEAN, AND DID A GOOD JOB. THE ONLY COMMENT I WOULD MAKE IS THAT, ALTHOUGH HE SHOWED ME THE BASIC OPERATION OF MY REMOTE CONTROLS, HE DID NOT SHOW ME WHICH SETTINGS HE CHANGED FROM THE FACTORY DEFAULTS. WHEN WE HAD A POWER OUTAGE A FEW WEEKS LATER, ALL OF THE SETTINGS REVERTED BACK TO THEIR PRESETS. I HAD TO CALL MY CABLE COMPANY AND THE TV MANUFACTURER TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET THE PICTURE BACK TO THE WAY IT LOOKED WHEN THE INSTALLER FINISHED SETTING IT UP.
